Exhibition Talents: Quality Is More Important Than Certificates.
In recent years, China's large scale exhibitions are increasing, and the demand for relevant talents is strong.
And Exhibition talents can be divided into three levels: first, professional meetings or exhibition organizers, including planning, on-site management, attracting investment talents; second, exhibition management talents and exhibitors; third, service talents, such as plation, logistics, advertising, tourism, hotels and talent building.
Exhibition talents can also be classified according to core talents of exhibition, auxiliary talents of exhibition and supporting talents of exhibition.
According to statistics from the labor and social security department, the number of employees in the exhibition industry in China is about 1000000, and there are 150 thousand managerial personnel engaged in business planning.
Industry experts believe that the success of hosting a large-scale international convention and Exhibition requires 80 to 90 professionals. At present, there are many exhibitions in China, but the lack of excellent exhibition and business management talents is the key to truly forming an international brand.
Such talents need strong activity, organization, language and communication skills, and have active thinking and wide knowledge.
Convention and exhibition industry is a new industry in our country.
But in recent years, there have been dozens of universities in China.
At present, there are at least 10 related certificates issued by the whole country. There are 3 more influential regions in Shanghai: 1., Shanghai's talent training project "exhibition planning and practice" post qualification certificate; 2., the "registered exhibition manager" training certification system introduced from the United States; 3., the new career of "exhibition planner" launched by the labor and social security department.
Then, is it possible for job seekers to become a successful exhibition talent after taking the certificate?
Chen Jianguo, vice president of the school of continuing education of East China Normal University, told a real story: a job seeker was applying for a convention and exhibition company with a certificate. After examining, the interviewer found that he did not have the quality and ability to engage in the exhibition industry at all. Therefore, he questioned: "the certificate is useless!"
Wang Mingming, vice president of the Shanghai Exhibition Industry Association, also said that the exhibition industry has no occupational access restrictions. Unlike some industries, it is necessary to have a qualification to enter the business.
This shows that the gold content of the exhibition industry certificate is not high. Compared with other qualifications and certificates, the quality of the conference and Exhibition employers is more important.
Wang Mingming believes that "the talent of exhibition is characterized by high intelligence, high risk and high reward. We must have a clear understanding of this."
But high intelligence does not mean high education.
Wang Mingming pointed out that graduates with undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications need at least 8 to 10 years of grind before they become mature exhibition planners and management personnel.
There are great differences between high-level exhibition talents and the builders of striking and striking at convention and exhibition sites. For example, excellent simultaneous interpretation talents are rare at present. All kinds of high-level exhibition and planning talents, advertising creative talents and venue management personnel need high IQ, otherwise they are not competent for work.
Chen Jianguo believes that overheating and training is not a big problem, because the market will adjust.
Certificates with high gold content will be recognized by the market. Certificates with low gold content will gradually withdraw from the market.
Through market competition, sand and gold can survive.
Wang Mingming also believes that the exhibition industry is a comprehensive industry with a large number of specialties.
If we only talk about mice talents in a general way, we may mislead people. If some schools have held exhibition design major, the concept of exhibition design is too broad.
In fact, the exhibition talents needed by different industries are totally different. Those who can do auto exhibitions may not be able to make mold exhibitions. The key is to have industry knowledge.
The exhibition industry needs the most knowledge-based talents.
For example, how to protect these national treasures is a big problem for domestic museums to hold bronze ware exhibitions abroad.
Some schools lock their majors in exhibitions, but may restrict students' choice of employment. Moreover, professional settings are too broad for students to acquire useful knowledge.
