Recently, the China Textile Industry Association organized and hosted a technical appraisal meeting of the project "annual output of 2500 tons of PAN raw silk and 1000 tons of T300 carbon fiber and key equipment" jointly undertaken by Zhongfu Eagle Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Eagle travel Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. in Lianyungang. The expert committee inspected the production process and equipment and samples at the production site, listened to the project work report and technical report, and reviewed the relevant technical information. The appraisal committee agreed to pass the appraisal, and suggested further strengthening the variety development and expanding the application in the field of high performance composite materials.

Carbon fiber is an important strategic material with the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high modulus and high strength. It is closely related to national security and national economic development. However, for a long time, the level of China's carbon fiber industry is far behind that of developed countries. There is no industrial production line with an annual economic output of 1000 tons of carbon fiber and self-sustaining raw silk.

In recent years, with the rapid development of China's industry, the annual consumption of domestic carbon fiber has risen rapidly, but almost entirely relies on imports. In addition, China's officially launched large aircraft national plan and the development of wind power, coastal oil and gas fields and other industries, the contradiction between supply and demand of domestic carbon fiber is very prominent. In order to reverse this passive situation as quickly as possible, in 2006, China composite material group, Lianyungang Eagle spinning machine Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Olympiad group jointly formed the Zhongfu divine eagle Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd., specializing in the research, manufacture and sale of carbon fiber precursor, carbon fiber and its products. On the basis of the original production capacity of 500 tonnes of PAN based carbon fiber precursor and 220 tons of carbon fiber, Zhongfu Eagle has worked with Donghua University to undertake the research and development project of the national development and Reform Commission's "annual output of 2500 tons PAN raw silk 1000 tons T300 class carbon fiber and key equipment".

The whole process is made in China.

After two years of technical research, Zhongfu Eagle has systematically solved the problem of localization of key equipment, and has built the largest and most mature technology production line in China. Its overall technology has reached the international advanced level.

According to the introduction, the project has developed ion exchange resin chelating purification, one-step continuous large-scale stable polymerization, raw liquor ammonification and large scale high pressure steam drafting technology, and has produced high-performance PAN raw silk. Developed a rapid pre oxidation, no tar carbonization technology, developed a matching special oil agent, produced a carbon fiber equivalent to the T300 level of Dongli company of Japan, the comprehensive technology is mature, and the production is stable.

The project also developed 20 cubic meters of large polymerizer, high pressure steam drafting machine, new laminated external heat pre oxidation furnace, low temperature and high temperature carbonization furnace and other key equipment and supporting system with independent intellectual property rights.

According to the introduction, the project has obtained 6 authorized patents for utility models, and has applied for 10 invention patents. A complete enterprise standard has been established. All the equipment has been nationalized, breaking the blockade of foreign technology and equipment, and reaching the international advanced level by comprehensive technology.

Sun Jinliang, director of the appraisal committee and academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, said that the Zhongfu Condor carbon fiber project realized the localization of the technology, production equipment and products in a real sense, and realized large-scale production in a short time. It not only broke the international blockade, but also had a far-reaching impact on promoting the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure of our textile industry and national security and economic development.

"The original capacity of the project is the largest in the country, reaching 3 million 500 thousand tons, but there are still 500 tons of production lines being built in China.
