Basic situation of the College:
The college is a new school jointly founded by Inner Mongolia Normal University and Malaysia international modern design group.
It was founded in 1993 and began to recruit students of art design in the whole country in 1994.
In 2000, he was granted the right to master master of Arts in design arts and enrolled in master of Arts in design from 2001.
In 2007, the specialty of art design was awarded the brand specialty of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The Institute has five undergraduate art and design majors, and is currently building four graduate studies.
There are institutions of visual communication design, interior design department, fashion design department, public art department, modern media design, foundation department, design institute and so on. There are 1058 undergraduates, 31 graduate students, 1 overseas students and 61 undergraduate students.
The Institute has 3 laboratories, of which the modern design laboratory is evaluated by the autonomous regional standard laboratory, the interior design material structure laboratory is under construction, the photography professional studio is 1, the multimedia classroom is 5, and the college also has an art design reference room, with an area of 130 square meters and a collection of more than 5700 books.

At the beginning of its establishment, the Institute put the training talents who are suited to the needs of reform and opening up to the top. In the past ten years, the college has extensively absorbed the advanced educational concepts and teaching methods of foreign countries in the context of Chinese traditional culture, and gradually formed an innovative design talent training mode and a highly effective and efficient college operation mechanism.
First, the training mode of innovative design talents.
The college is one of the earliest Sino foreign cooperative school in China. It is the largest professional design institute in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Since the establishment of the hospital, the training of innovative design talents has been put in the first place, and education reform has been constantly intensified to improve the efficiency of running schools.

The employment and enrollment situation of the college is good. The employment rate in the past three years is 95%, and the enrollment rate of the first enrollment is over 93%.

3, from the teaching plan, teaching content, teaching process and teaching methods, to provide guarantee for innovative design personnel training.

According to the needs of the development of the design talent market, the Institute adjusts the plans, courses and teaching contents accordingly, so as to make the design teaching meet the needs of the design personnel training.
In the curriculum system, we should implement the principle of thick foundation and wide caliber, and lay a good foundation for training compound talents.
All the professional courses in first grade are all opened up. In grade three or four, the characteristics of professional courses are highlighted, and practice series courses are introduced in grade four. It reflects the characteristics of professional courses covering wide, thick foundation, strong system and good penetration between disciplines.
At the same time, we should pay attention to the changes in the Design Frontier and the development of science and technology in teaching content, and constantly update the teaching content.
(2) increase the scope of professional elective courses, promote the integration and penetration of specialties, allow arbitrary courses to be selected under the 3 credits of different majors, strengthen the comprehensive quality through public elective courses, encourage students to study two degrees, and strive to develop in many fields.

The Institute encourages students to take part in various design competitions, consciously combines the design content with the competition items, and awards a large number of students' homework in various competitions, and exercises the comprehensive design ability.
In designing teaching, students are drawn to pay attention to life, pay attention to social hot spots, and improve their cognition. During the teaching stage of "advertising design basis", during the period of SARS, teachers began to create a batch of anti SARS posters on short time by caring for others, fighting against SARS, and so on, and received very good teaching results.

Three, the effect of running a school is remarkable, and its development prospect is broad.
The employment rate of the college is good. In the past three years, the employment statistics are 95%. Graduates are distributed in more than ten provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions throughout the country, and the employment situation is good.
From the feedback of graduation, about 80% of graduates are engaged in design work in design companies, and about 20% of graduates work in design education department.
Because these students have good comprehensive quality and creativity, they can quickly adapt to the needs of the market and get the full affirmation of the employers.

College students participated in the national major design competition and achieved excellent results.
China has designed the first national environmental art and Design Excellence Award of five, and the National University's first environmental art graduation design gold, silver, bronze award, excellence award, nine Shenzhen International Furniture Design Grand Prix awards, fifteen awards; third third, fourth interior design exhibitions, gold, silver and bronze awards 12; the second Chinese graphic design competition Starlight Award; won the "contemporary art and design exhibition of China" Contemporary Art Design Award, the advertisement "golden calf Award" copper calf prize, two, the best prize, the finalists, the Chinese Advertising Art Festival Award, the national Poster Design Grand Prix award, the clothing design works selected the cup. Visual Communication Design Department
The visual communication design department was renamed on the basis of the establishment of the advertising design department in 1993.

Advertising design teaching combines with market demand, focuses on the combination of art and science and technology, pays attention to the cultivation of creative thinking, emphasizes interdisciplinary infiltration, teaches professional knowledge and professional skills of modern advertising design, and has rich fruits in developing students' creative design ability.
Many students won many awards at the national advertising design exhibition.
The Department of visual communication design began to recruit graduate students in the field of visual communication art research and graphic design art research since 2002.
In teaching, students are trained in advertising creativity, graphic design ability and production ability. They provide the society with professional advertisers who understand the market and management, advertising creative director, art director, computer design, packaging design, multimedia design and display design.
Department of interior design
After ten years of development, interior design department has accumulated rich teaching experience under the joint efforts of Chinese and foreign teachers, and has formed a systematic and modern teaching mode of modern design.

Interior design department began to recruit graduate students of interior design art from 2002.

Department of fashion design

Clothing design teaching combines with market demand, focuses on the combination of art and science and technology, pays attention to the cultivation of creative thinking, emphasizes interdisciplinary penetration, studies the fashion design thinking of the international forefront, and integrates the characteristics of the costumes of the nation and the region. Taking clothing and materials, clothing jade ornaments, clothing and people, clothing and environment as the leading role, it trains specialized talents engaged in costume design, clothing painting, clothing drawing, clothing tailoring, clothing photography, fabric design, weaving design and so on.
The students won the gold medal in the "algili" cup cashmere sweater design competition, and won awards in many professional design exhibitions.
Public art design
Public art design is a new specialty in our college. Public art design is designed for indoor and outdoor advertisements. It has both the length of interior design and the knowledge of outdoor design. It is also permeated with sculpture and guiding design. It is a compound talent, and its development prospects are very promising.
Public art design refers to the design of artistic creation and corresponding decoration environment in open public space. Its main body is the creation of public works of art and the study of its environment.
This specialty integrates art and science as a whole, integrates the characteristics of different disciplines, launches design research around stereoscopic and plane space, and forms a series of courses permeating each other.
This major trains public art and design talents, and can engage in environmental art design, public art design, interior design and design, as well as environmental art engineering production and technical guidance.
Multimedia Design Department
The multimedia design department is a newly established specialty in our hospital in 2004. This major is a newly emerging specialty combining advertising design with multimedia technology, network interaction technology and animation technology.
The course covers some of the professional aspects of advertising design, including animation principles, video language, non-linear editing, website and multimedia design, 2D and 3D animation creation and other specialized courses.
