The Midwest is also facing labor shortage?

With the gradual shift of industries, especially the labor-intensive industries, the phenomenon of labor shortage in the central and western regions with abundant human resources is beginning to appear, and labor wages are also gradually rising.

Take Anhui as an example, 12 million people in the province work outside the country every year, 8 million of them are in coastal areas, 3 million are in the province, and human resources are not abundant.

Shen Weiguo, director of the Anhui provincial development and Reform Commission, has asked some migrant workers to ask if they are willing to return to work if they are less than two hundred or three hundred yuan in the doorway than the coastal area. "Their answer is unanimous affirmation."

However, the "willingness" of migrant workers did not immediately plate into reality. Although many migrant workers stayed there, more people chose coastal areas.

A large number of foreign enterprises are in the Midwest. Although there are still many left behind labor force, skilled workers are still working in coastal areas, and short time labor is in a state of lack. This has led to the problem of employment in part of the Midwest.

And wages in the coastal areas generally began to rise, especially in the eastern region after the adjustment of basic wages, the attractiveness of workers has increased to a certain extent, reducing the return of some of the labor force.

In fact, the recruitment of workers in the central and western regions is not only facing competition from other counties and cities, but also the competition for workers in developed areas, which leads to a slower return of labor force.

A small and medium-sized garment enterprise in Anhui, near Zhejiang, has recruited a group of employees, skilled workers can earn 2000 yuan monthly salary, but basically less than half a year, workers have run a lot, and the enterprise has to paste recruitment notices at the factory gate every once in a while.

After investigation by the head of the factory, it was found that skilled workers were still in the coastal areas, while some young people with unskilled skills were reluctant to stay in the local area. "They all want to go to Shanghai and Hangzhou."

The reason why the head of the garment enterprise is crying out is that the reason why these young people left the factory turned out to be "a place to play in the evening after work in Shanghai".

This is not an isolated phenomenon.

In early 2010, there were 46 enterprises in the Hefei open area, which needed 5600 skilled workers, and nearly 10000 new jobs in the service industry. Chen Jun, deputy director of the local talent service market, said that the lack of jobs in the first tier jobs was serious.

At the same time, in order to retain labor, wages in the central and western regions began to rise.
