    Ningbo Knitting City Aims To Create An International Brand.

    At this juncture, the Fifth China Textile and clothing trade exhibition (Paris) is particularly sensitive. What the exhibitors can bring is a problem that every enterprise has to weigh.

    2010 China Textile and clothing trade exhibition (Paris) will be co hosted by China Textile Association, China Apparel Association, China International Trade Promotion Council Ningbo branch and Frankfurt (France) exhibition company.

    The Ningbo Council of the China Council for the promotion of international trade (WTO) will organize more than 30 local textile and garment enterprises for the first time.


    What do these more than 30 companies hope to harvest at the exhibition?

    As a member of the Ningbo Council of trade promotion, Gu Zheng knows clearly about the idea of the enterprise. Recently, he told the newspaper reporters the intention of participating in the exhibition, and introduced the current development pattern of Ningbo textile and garment enterprises.


    Consolidate the base areas and gain advantage


    This is not a derogatory term. Instead, it reflects the keen mind and unique insights of Ningbo people. For this reason, Gu Zheng explains: "the European market is a serious market affected by the financial crisis in the global market. Currently, it is deeply influenced by sovereign debt. The uncertainties are relatively large and the recovery period is longer. However, for the Ningbo textile and garment enterprises, the" base area "must not be lost, nor should we give up the traditional market which is still very large in demand. After all, the market mechanism is perfect and the foundation is strong.

    In addition, the financial crisis has also brought us opportunities, that is, traditional industries will accelerate the pfer to developing countries. Therefore, we must seize the good time when others are unable to spare time under the crisis, and actively guide the vast number of Ningbo garment enterprises to consolidate and develop the European market.


    It is under the guidance of this concept that when many export-oriented enterprises can not withstand the impact of the financial crisis and return to the mainland, Ningbo garment enterprises have stepped up the pace of expansion, and participating in the exhibition with the Textile Association of the Trade Promotion Committee is one of the landmark initiatives.

    Gu Zheng summed up this as: "take the initiative, make positive efforts and pform crises into opportunities."

    He said: "the Ningbo Textile Association is a sponsor of the domestic industry exhibition. It has a good industry foundation and exhibition experience. The CCPIT, as part of the CCPIT system, has exhibited a well developed local branch. For the first time, it is working with the Textile Association of the China Council for the promotion of trade. The purpose is to consolidate and complement each other, and jointly build an overseas professional textile exhibition with its own brand, so as to create a good platform for Ningbo's garment industry to open up the international market.

    Words are permeated with enterprising spirit.


    Gu Zheng further added that in the post crisis era, Ningbo's apparel industry has firmly established two major international and domestic markets. On the one hand, it has actively implemented the strategy of going global and acquired advanced international management and technology through overseas mergers and acquisitions.


    The purpose is to create an international brand.


    As a big clothing market and a large garment export market, garment export accounts for more than 60% of Ningbo's gross domestic product.

    Ningbo's overseas development certainly does not stop accepting processing orders, "our ultimate goal is to realize the internationalization of the brand."

    Gu Zhengwei said.


    Ningbo has many well-known textile and clothing brands, such as YOUNGOR, Shanshan, Luo Meng, Wei Ke, Taiping bird, Bo Yang, Tonlion, bruje, AI Yi Mei, PE Luo Cheng, Luo Zi and so on. Among them, YOUNGOR, Shanshan, EMI, VICCO, bruje and Taiping bird have 6 brands listed as key export brands by the Ministry of Commerce.

    In addition, a number of textile and clothing brands are listed as provincial and municipal export brands, which are increasing in international popularity, and the market share is expanding. For example, the fabric and design of the sheep's wool clothing, such as Ai Mei's sheep, are close to the international leading level.

    However, in the eyes of Gu Zheng, Ningbo clothing has a long way to go in terms of internationalization. "The overall level of internationalization of Ningbo clothing brands is still low, its influence is still very limited, and its own brand is still relatively small, so the market share is still small, and compared with the international well-known brands, it is still in the initial stage of development."

    To this end, Ningbo garment industry always makes every possible use of every opportunity to promote brand growth and expand its influence in the international market.

    Every year, the Ningbo International Trade Promotion Association (CCPIT) has exhibited about 3600 square meters on the two Hongkong clothing festival. It also exhibited nearly 600 square meters in Germany at the DSL costumes exhibition. The global fashion exhibition abroad accounted for about 1/4 of the total volume of Ningbo trade promotion exhibition.

    The annual Ningbo international clothing festival is also an important incubator of Ningbo's clothing brand. The focus of local textile and clothing brands shows the image of a big clothing market.

    This year, the purpose of shaping the international brand is stronger in Paris.

    "In 2010, the key point is to lay stress on the foundation of the enterprise, while vigorously innovating and improving the independent brand, while the famous clothing in the European region is more concentrated. Through developing the European market, it is one of the best ways to realize the international famous brand of Ningbo clothing."

    Gu Zhengwei said.


    Re start of famous knitting City


    According to Gu Zhengwei, 15 of the more than 30 companies that went to France to participate in the exhibition in Ningbo were from the streets of Jue Creek, Xiangshan, a famous knitting city in China. The main exhibits include men's wear, women's wear and children's wear.


    Xiangshan County Jue street is a microcosm of the development of China's knitting industry. At present, it has developed into a large domestic famous brand knitted garment production and export base.

    In the less than 1 square kilometres of Jue Creek, more than 300 knitting enterprises are closely knitted, forming 4 categories and more than 300 varieties. The annual output is nearly 10 million dozen, and the products are sold to more than 50 countries and regions in the world.

    People who are interested in international brand names may be hard to imagine that the famous international clothing brands such as Saint Laurent, Nike, Puma and so on are processed here, and more than 20 such brands have been produced by Jue brook.


    Apart from attending the exhibition, the Ningbo clothing exhibition group also arranged a series of commercial activities.

    "We are ready to organize liaison with the relevant textile and garment industry associations in Paris through the Ningbo Council for the promotion of trade, and organize relevant intentional enterprises in Ningbo to engage in joint discussions with foreign enterprises."

    Gu Zhengwei said that the intention of the move is to explore the establishment of R & D marketing branches in Europe, further improve the technological innovation capability of Ningbo's knitted garment enterprises and broaden the international marketing channels; two, explore the feasibility of introducing foreign brands to domestic operations, or cooperate with foreign fashion research and development companies to promote brand operation, aiming at improving the brand operation ability of Ningbo's knitting industry; three, relying on the industrial foundation of Xiangshan knitted knitted cities in China to actively attract foreign investment, plan to explore cooperation with foreign fabric enterprises or introduce foreign fabric technology cooperation in the domestic production, improve the technical content of knitted fabrics, and enhance the competitiveness of Ningbo's knitting industry in the international market.


    A new blueprint is on the way. The Paris exhibition will become a new starting point for Jue brook.
