How Can Underwear Stores Operate To Find A Way Out?
I work in a public institution. I am not very busy with my work and I have a little savings on hand. When I see several little sisters who worked together go into business, I feel a bit excited. Egged on by them, after some investigation, I am optimistic about underwear, a potential industry. After half a month of hard work, my shop ushered in the opening day. But after a period of operation, I began to find that things were not as smooth as I thought, and many problems continued to come over time:
My location is a small county town, and the relative location is not very good. I have to go to the provincial capital city far away to purchase goods. But I haven't resigned, so there will be a conflict on time. Due to the lack of experience in store purchase, there was a mistake in brand selection. I don't know which kind of goods are more marketable. The products have no own characteristics, and there is no great advantage compared with other local underwear stores; The long journey adds a certain burden on logistics.
On the other hand, since I didn't quit my original job, I couldn't arrange the time, so I hired a shopping guide. In this way, regardless of the increase in expenses, recruitment is also a big problem, and whether the other party has professional knowledge and relevant experience is critical. I can't bear the high salary offered by senior shopping guides, while the inexperienced shopping guides lack effective persuasion and can't hold customers' hearts, which seriously affects their performance.
Since the store opened a few months ago, business has been very bleak. I started to find some good friends to discuss countermeasures. Later, people suggested that we should set up a propaganda sheet to advertise. After the simple advertisement was released, I found another problem: "Marry others". When sending leaflets, they did not consider the habits of their own customer groups, but only sent them to some middle and low consumption groups on the street. There are many people coming to this store, but after they came here, the target shifted to the clothes seller next to them. Because the goods sold by my shop have no great influence on that group, it is better to go to other professional underwear shops with many varieties, large selection scope and unacceptable prices.
It has been more than half a year since the store opened, and I can hardly stand it. Here is a reminder for those who have opened new stores. Although the underwear store is small, its management is not simple at all. From selecting store location to matching supply, from store decoration to commodity display, from shopping guide training to customer management, from promotion to inventory management, any weak link may put your store at a disadvantage or even be gradually eliminated by the market.
