Anhui province is a big agricultural province. The textile industry has always been a traditional pillar industry and an important livelihood industry, involving nearly about 500000 workers and 3 million farmers' interests, and plays an important role in foreign exchange earning and employment.
Last year, our province formulated the plan for restructuring and revitalizing the textile industry, and this year, we have formulated an implementation plan to comprehensively promote the pformation from expanding domestic demand, solving people's livelihood, ensuring employment and increasing income.

With the guidance of the national industrial policy, Anhui province promotes the technological pformation of cotton textile, printing and dyeing, wool spinning, knitting, home textiles and other industries in order to upgrade the structure and level of the textile industry.
Last year, 96 technical pformation projects were completed, with a total investment of 9 billion 430 million yuan; 128 technical renovation projects were implemented this year, with a total investment of 10 billion 50 million yuan; in 2011, there were 136 technical renovation projects, with a total investment of 10 billion 720 million yuan.
Of these, 100 key enterprises implemented 100 technical renovation projects, with a total investment of 16 billion 70 million yuan.
By accelerating the implementation of a number of technical pformation projects such as Tongling textile and garment city company and Wuhu Shanshan new Mingda Co., Ltd., we have formed a group of backbone enterprises with strong international competitiveness.
Anhui province has intensified its investment in scientific and technological innovation, and accelerated the establishment of an independent innovation system with market orientation, enterprise as the main body, product as the core, research institutes as the support, and production, teaching and research as the combination.
In 2009, 8 projects were completed, with a total investment of 160 million yuan. In 2010, 9 projects will be completed, with a total investment of 220 million yuan, and 7 projects will be completed in 2011, with a total investment of 420 million yuan.
Three years confirmed 45 new products at the provincial level: 14 in 2009, 15 in 2010 and 16 in 2011.
Anhui province should speed up the elimination of backward production capacity that does not conform to the state's industrial policies, and realize the task of energy saving and emission reduction in the industry.
The cotton textile industry has focused on eliminating the production of all the "1" spun spinning and weaving equipment before the founding of the people's Republic of China, and the A512 and A513 series spinning frames. The wool textile industry has mainly eliminated backward equipment such as B250 type worsted spinning machines and H212 type woolen looms, and the printing and dyeing industry has mainly eliminated backward production equipment such as the 74 type dyeing and finishing production line and the flat screen printing machine.
At the same time, the whole industry, focusing on structural adjustment and industrial optimization and upgrading, focuses on promoting "five modernization": speeding up the upgrading of the cotton textile industry by "refinement"; promoting the development of clothing and footwear with "branding"; cultivating the industrial textile enterprises with "characteristics"; supporting the growth of home textile enterprises with "matching"; and upgrading the industrial scale by "clustering".
Anhui is also aiming at the poor product innovation ability, lack of independent brand and low added value of the brand, putting the enterprise brand construction in a more prominent position, realizing the leap from processing and manufacturing to brand building.
First, take the backbone enterprises as the main body, create a batch of Chinese famous brands, cultivate a number of famous brands in the province, form the brand group of our province's textile products; two, push the powerful enterprises to acquire brand names through various forms, cultivate and develop a number of famous brand products, brand enterprises and brand bases with high popularity, high market share and strong competitive power; three, promote the textile products market competitiveness by brand.
We should raise the level of product development, quality management and market development of key enterprises by brand building, break the homogenization and disorderly competition pattern, and strive to improve the quality and market image of our textile products.
