Shishi 600 Thousand Ton Petrochemical PTA Project Has Fully Entered The Trial Operation Recently.

The reporter learned from Shishi Economic Bureau that the stone lions are 600 thousand tons.

Shishi and its surrounding Jinjiang and other places are the base camp of Fujian textiles and clothing, with an annual output value of nearly 200 billion yuan.

Over the years, relying on the vitality of the private enterprises and the strong support of the local government, the industry has been growing stronger and stronger, forming a clear industrial chain for spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, garment making and accessories and packaging.

"Although this industry chain is perfect, it is not perfect because it lacks the upstream."

According to Liu Jinfeng, the project has a total area of 753 mu, the first phase of the main construction of an annual output of 600 thousand tons of PTA terephthalic acid plant, supporting the construction of the terminal area, raw material delivery pipe gallery.

The first phase was completed in May 2007, and the project was completed in late 2009. In April of this year, the trial production was successfully completed.

Because of its practical significance to the development of Shishi, Quanzhou and even the entire Haixi textile and garment industry, the project is listed as a major construction project of the national petrochemical industry revitalization plan.

It is understood that PTA is an intermediate product that connects upstream industries of the petrochemical industry and textile and other downstream industries. It is mainly used in the production of polyester, which is applied to the textile and chemical fiber industry, food and beverage packaging, and engineering plastics industry.

The upstream PTA of Shishi Jialong Petrochemical Company is closely linked to the aromatics project of Fu Lian, and the downstream is supported by local polyester factories in Quanzhou. It links the polyester, chemical fiber, weaving, printing and dyeing, and garment enterprises in the surrounding 30 kilometers, forming a complete export from crude oil to garments.

"At present, the demand for PTA in polyester enterprises in Fujian alone reaches 1 million 800 thousand tons, and the PTA products of Shishi can be digested in the province."

Liu Jinfeng said optimistically.

According to his introduction, the superior location advantage of the project makes Jialong petrochemical PTA less competitive than the same industry in procurement, sales and packaging, and has strong competitiveness.
