Huizhou Imported Leather For The First Time To Detect Formaldehyde Exceeding Standard

Recently, the staff of Huizhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau detected formaldehyde exceeding the standard in the fur imported from an enterprise in Huizhou. This is the first time that Huizhou has detected formaldehyde exceeding the standard in imported fur.

Huizhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau Yuanzhou office staff on a certain enterprise in Huizhou planning fur fur clothing raw materials for inspection and supervision of spot checks, found that the imported fur raw materials by the national accreditation laboratory after special inspection, one of them imported "fox fur" was detected formaldehyde exceeded.

Its formaldehyde content is 583.3mg/kg, while the national standard stipulates that the maximum limit is 300mg/kg, exceeding the standard nearly 1 times.

It is understood that the formaldehyde exceeded the standard "fox fur" a total of 48, the value of $1105.

After investigation, the issue "fox fur" is a small amount of raw materials imported by the company for fur clothing orders. Fortunately, the inspection and quarantine departments found formaldehyde in excess of the standard in time, thus effectively avoiding the major quality problems that might arise in the next batch production of the whole batch of orders.

At present, the company has returned the problem fur to the supplier and signed a new quality assurance clause with the supplier in the purchase and sale contract, increasing the detection requirements of toxic and harmful substances such as formaldehyde, pH value and azo dye.
