Shishi PTA Makes Quanzhou Textile And Garment Industry Chain More Perfect.

According to the news of Shishi Economic Bureau, the PTA project of Shishi Jialong 600 thousand ton petrochemical company has entered the trial operation stage and will be formally put into operation before the end of this year. The annual sales volume will reach 5 billion yuan.

Shishi PTA project has a total land area of 753 mu, the first phase of the main construction of an annual output of 600 thousand tons of PTA terephthalic acid plant, supporting the construction of the terminal area, raw material delivery pipe gallery.

The first phase was completed in May 2007, and the project was completed in late 2009. In April of this year, the trial production was successfully completed.

Because of its practical significance to the development of Shishi, Quanzhou and even the entire Haixi textile and garment industry, the project is listed as a major construction project of the national petrochemical industry revitalization plan.

It is understood that PTA is an intermediate product that connects upstream industries of the petrochemical industry and textile and other downstream industries. It is mainly used in the production of polyester, which is applied to the textile and chemical fiber industry, food and beverage packaging, and engineering plastics industry.

The upstream PTA of Shishi Jialong Petrochemical Company is closely linked to the integrated aromatics project of Fu Lian, and the downstream is supported by local polyester factories in Quanzhou. It links the polyester, chemical fiber, weaving, printing and dyeing, and garment enterprises in the surrounding 30 kilometers, forming a complete production chain from crude oil refining to garment export.
