Pierre Cardin's advice

GUI said that he had no talent for fashion designers.

When she was in middle school, she liked drama.

Mother graduated from the famous culture and Clothing Institute, and set up her own clothing school, hoping Katsura Yumi can inherit her career.

When he was in college, GUI learned to dress and study.

Later, I felt that I had limited ability to perform in drama, so I decided to give up my hobby and began to study fashion major from grade 3.

Fashion became popular after the end of World War II, and clothing schools sprang up like mushrooms.

After graduating from University, Katsura Yumi first worked as a teacher in his mother's clothing school, teaching clothing history and color science.

With the introduction of European fashion messages to Japan, she hopes to learn more about Paris's elegant fashion.

In 1960, she participated in the inspection tour organized by the Japan Design Culture Association. During his visit to France, he decided to study in Paris for a year.

The cost of studying abroad was 2 million yen, and the mother said it could buy a house.

I knew that my mother was saving up the cost of marriage for me, and I persuaded her mother to "prepare myself when I was married."

The school was founded by the Paris High Fashion Association. The French fashion masters Pierre Cardin and Eve Saint Laurent graduated from this school.

GUI has heard of Pierre Cardin's teaching in this school, and has had a close contact with the master.

"In the 60s of last century, women's entrepreneurship was very rare.

The development of wedding dress industry in Japan was even more difficult, especially for men.

In a society that despises women, Katsura Yumi happened to see Junichi Watanabe's novel "buried flowers" in the bookstore. She was attracted by the phrase "the story of the first woman doctor in Japan" on the cover.

This novel is about the fate and career of Ogino Ko, the first woman to be a national doctor in the Meiji era.

The 17 year old married son was infected by his husband. Gonorrhea, an incurable disease at that time, was considered unfertile and had to go back to his mother's home.

Having experienced the bitterness of being reluctant to let a male doctor see a doctor in a hospital, he decided to study medicine for those who had the same experience.

In the Meiji era with a strong sense of feudalism, Yin Zi entered the medical school, which was all male students, and insisted on learning in the unbearable circumstances of ordinary people.

In the face of unreasonable rules that women can not take part in the medical practice examination, recited by the government department, she recited the exam and became the first woman doctor.

Miss GUI, who has seen such an outstanding woman in Japan, remorse herself deeply. "I have not been diagnosed with illness, nor have I been grieved and bitteraged. I must not regress.

Over the past decades, Gui Mei has gone all over the world to study wedding dress.

She found it difficult to see national costumes in many countries' wedding. She thought that traditional wedding dress was a crisis of the history, culture and life of all countries.

GUI noted the acquisition of wedding dress of various nationalities. She hoped that more people would cherish and inherit these cultural heritages.

In 1988, the Museum of wedding dress was opened in Kobe, showing more than 30 traditional wedding dresses in the museum.

A survey in 1991 showed that more than half of brides in Tokyo wore western wedding clothes.

In order to arouse the importance of national wedding dress, the first Asian Wedding Dress summit was held in Tokyo in 1995, and this summit is still continuing.

GUI came to China for the first time in 1986, and held a wedding show in Beijing national culture palace that year.

She remembered that at the time of the press conference, some people questioned whether the white wedding dress could be promoted in China, because in the traditional Chinese concept, the wedding dress must be red.

Now, such doubts have long been turned into smoke and clouds.

In 1987, "Gui Yi Mei wedding dress company" opened in Beijing. Later, she opened a wedding shop in Dalian and Shanghai, and opened flagship store in Beijing.

In the view of GUI, the current situation of China is changing rapidly like that of Japan in the period of rapid economic growth. She hopes that her wedding dress will continue to expand in China, and intends to expand it to Korea and Southeast Asian countries on the basis of China, so that more brides can wear beautiful ethnic dress and fashionable fashion.
