The Quality Supervision Bureau announced the results of the special inspection of clothing products produced in the province in the 2 quarter of this year.
The results showed that 19 of the 50 batches of clothing tested were disqualified due to fiber content, formaldehyde and pH, and the failure rate was 38%.
According to the circular, the 50 batches of 39 production enterprises in our province were sampled.

31 batches were tested, and the pass rate of spot checks and batches was 62%. 15 of the 19 batches of garment manufacturers failed to make spot checks.
According to Sichuan Provincial Bureau of inspection experts, formaldehyde is an important assistant in the finishing process of textile products.
Formaldehyde is a pparent, irritating odour and toxic organic compound. It has a special odor. Exposure to formaldehyde in high concentration for a long time can also cause serious diseases.
