Taobao Launched A Shopping Mall

And at the forum, the general manager of Zhejiang's Agel Ecommerce Ltd. Jiang Guo Bin Jiang Guobin's remarks made a thorough analysis of how to turn Taobao's purchasing service point into two square meter WAL-MART, guiding a new way of thinking for Taobao's offline shopkeepers.
Jiang Guobin first introduced that the consumption of per capita consumer goods in Hangzhou reached 11000 yuan in 2009, of which the consumption of fast moving consumer goods in the people's livelihood reached 697289 yuan. This data increased at an annual rate of over 10%. The resident population in Hangzhou was nearly 8 million, and the urban residents reached 7 million. From this data, we can easily calculate the market demand of Hangzhou's people's livelihood fast moving products by nearly 50 billion, while the main sales of people's livelihood products are supermarkets.
Hangzhou Statistics Bureau announced that in 2009, there were 1654 stores in all chain supermarkets in Hangzhou, of which 292 were convenience stores, 380 million yuan for annual sales, 1185 for small and medium-sized supermarkets, 2 billion 814 million for sales and 177 for large supermarkets. Here we can see that only 10.7% of the large supermarkets account for 82.4% of the total sales. What is the reason? A more detailed data is that the 177 large supermarkets have only 45 stores which sell more than 15000 kinds of goods, but the total sales volume of these 45 annual sales exceeds 10 billion, accounting for more than 70% of 177 stores. This shows that the greater the product, the greater the attractiveness of the consumer.
Another data is that people buy too much in large supermarkets, and they need to line up for checkout, not to mention holidays. Basically, passages are lined up. Sometimes, there are strategies to go to supermarkets, at least two people. One person queues up in half an hour ahead of time. This is a way to save time. We spend more than two hours per shopping hour. Now we go to less time and buy more things. Moving these things home is also a very painful experience.
And Taobao's offline shop has basically solved these problems. First of all, there are hundreds of millions of goods on Taobao, far exceeding the quantity of any supermarket. Secondly, the offline shopping shops are often all around the residents, so they do not have to spend a lot of time deliberately running a long distance, or even queuing for a few hours. For offline purchase, it should be one of the important channels to solve people's livelihood consumption.
