Huang Yuefeng said that the foreign trade division of the Ministry of Commerce will, in accordance with the requirements of the "12th Five-Year plan", take independent innovation as the core, and research and development.

On the one hand, we should accelerate the construction of the public service platform system for foreign trade and effectively enhance the quality and level of China's foreign trade development.

On the other hand, we should speed up the pformation of Chinese manufacturing from "processing and manufacturing" to "designing and manufacturing", and guide the powerful foreign trade enterprises to extend the industrial chain to the more high-end industrial design chain and the laying of sales channels at home and abroad at the later stage.

According to customs statistics, the total value of China's imports and exports reached 2 trillion and 148 billion 680 million US dollars from 1 to September this year, an increase of 37.9% over the same period last year.

Over the same period, the total foreign trade volume of textile and apparel reached US $164 billion 410 million, an increase of 22.75% over the same period last year.

Of which, exports amounted to 149 billion 810 million US dollars, up 23.1% over the same period last year.
