    Workplace

You, what is your request in the workplace?

    happiness

    Do you know yourself?

Wealth = pleasure? Success = happiness?

In a rapidly changing and competitive environment, everyone in the workplace today is suffering from psychological pressure far higher than in the past decades.

According to the survey of the first "Job Burnout" index in 2004, 70% of white-collar workers showed varying degrees of job burnout.

If you ask people around you, "you know where your workplace happiness is," there are nine times out of ten.

We think that with the accumulation of wealth and the improvement of social prestige, we can get the corresponding sense of happiness.

In fact, according to the survey of the development research center of the State Council, those entrepreneurs and executives who think the most should be "happy" often account for 70.5% of the "irritable and irritable" people, 62.7% of them are "tired", 37.6% of them are "depressed", and 33.1% are "doubtful".

Another survey shows that restricting the majority of leaders to lead their own enterprises to create a blue ocean and go to another bottleneck is not their lack of decision-making, communication, strategy and implementation, but a deeper level of psychological strength and resilience, and the stimulation and maintenance of positive psychological power.

Throughout the workplace, not only those entrepreneurs and executives who are under high pressure, but each of us needs to find a positive force to maintain our inner happiness.

What is happiness? Is it the tail of a lion?

There is a story about this: there are lions and mothers living on the broad grasslands.

One day, the little lion asked her mother, "where is happiness, mom?"

    "Happiness, it's on your tail!"

So the little lion began to run and jump, and did all kinds of movements to catch his tail.

However, no matter how hard it works, it can not grasp the happiness on the tail.

The lion mother smiled, "baby, if you go forward with great stride, happiness will follow you closely."

Where is our workplace happiness? Is it also the tail of a lion?

Harvard University professor Taylor Tal Ben-Shahar's positive psychology course is a science that teaches us to find happiness.

He divided people's attitude towards happiness into four categories.

The first is hedonism. They only care about enjoying the joy in front of themselves, but not worrying about any negative consequences that may arise. Such behavior foreshadows future misfortunes.

The second type: busy rush, sacrifice at the moment, bear great pain, and bet all the happiness on the uncertain future.

Once the time that they anticipated did not come, it would be easy to collapse because they could not afford to fail.

The third is: resignation or learned helplessness. Such people have lost hope and desire to life, neither enjoying the present nor expecting any future, or knowing that they need to break through the current situation, but they always complain about others.

The fourth type is happiness: a person who lives with certainty. He knows that what he has done can lead him to the goal of success and not forget his present happiness.

Drawing a quadrant map, we can see clearly the relationship between these four types of happiness and their attitudes towards the present and future. D? D hedonism is the slave of today; busy type is the slave of the future; the fatalistic type is the slave of the past.

True happiness lies in the link between the present and the future. Those who believe that happiness exists only in the future or is looking forward to eternal happiness will only lead to eventual failures and disappointments.

Of course, not everything can bring happiness to us now and in the future. In many cases, we really need to sacrifice our immediate happiness and endure temporary pain for the realization of our future goals.

Because happiness exists in happiness and meaning, it does not need to enjoy all the time, nor does it require the unconquering happiness.

Happiness: pure individualization and pure subjectivity

Positive psychology believes that positive personality traits are formed by stimulating and strengthening individual realities and potential abilities, so that some real or potential abilities can become a habitual way of working.

According to the theory of positive personality, happiness is a kind of subjective well-being (SWB), also known as subjective well-being, which varies from person to person and is not entirely determined by the objective quality of life itself.

Different people will have different subjective well-being towards the same life, and the same person may have the same subjective well-being in different life.

Psychologists found that economic factors had little effect on subjective well-being.

Myers has studied the relationship between the economic development level of the United States and some developed countries in the past fifty years and the subjective well-being of the people in those countries after World War II. He has found that the economy has achieved tremendous growth, but there is no substantial change in the subjective well-being of these countries.

There is a definite threshold between the economy and subjective well-being (some Western psychologists believe that it is 8000 dollars a year). As long as this threshold is exceeded, wealth has little effect on subjective well-being.

What really affects our happiness is

    Interpersonal relationship

It mainly refers to the relationship between friends, family or family relationship, which is the most important factor of subjective well-being.
