Being a regular professional is not Zou Jiahua's dream.

It is unthinkable for him to design pure commercial clothes day after day.

Fortunately, Hong Kong Polytech University, where he studied the idea of creativity, never opposed students' different attempts, including the use of non-traditional materials to make avant-garde design, to participate in different types of competitions, and even to take part in exhibitions and exchanges around the world to broaden their international horizons.

"Breaking the framework, stimulating potential, let me have a deeper understanding of design.

Because of the early exposure to knitted, evening dress, wedding dress and other different types of design, I also have a clear understanding of their strengths and preferences, so as to facilitate directional development.

Zou Jiahua believes that it is this practical and relaxed educational mode that has helped to strengthen its original choice and adjust its future career planning.

Hong Kong Polytech University has knitted large circular knitting machine, digital printing and dyeing, and many other garment making and processing equipment. Students are accustomed to using scientific and technological means to complete the design concept in daily teaching and simulate the real working state.

However, the market feedback of the works can not be simulated.

Zou Jiahua told reporters: "the competition provided a rare platform for everyone to share my views on fashion design and share my desire to alert the world through fashion to no longer destroy the environment."

There are also his re understanding of his works. After winning the championship, he has searched for better fabrics to express the theme under the suggestion of the judges, so that the overall effect is more beautiful and more noble.

Actual combat experience is rare for Zou Jiahua.

The days of preparing for the finals are still vivid. "During the trial, there are many problems, such as the wrong shoulder pads, too small bust, too tight shirts, broken shoes, and broken zippers.

Everything needs to be solved all night, so that the series that can hardly be completely worn during the rehearsal can be completely presented.

Career foundation is far from abroad

Zou Jiahua seems less optimistic about the problem of employment after two years.

"In this cosmopolitan city in Hongkong, people are more supportive of fashion design in Europe or other Asian regions, such as Japan and Korea, with less emphasis on the development of local fashion design."

He clearly sees that the demand for local fashion designers is bound to decrease. "If we want to be foothold in the market, we must add value to ourselves and keep improving."

In Hongkong's fashion design industry, commercialization is often the most important design factor, but Zou Jiahua's design is more personal. "Although I know that the market value of fashion design is very important, I still want to display my personality without reservation, and make fashion art to express feelings about society and life."

The employment market in mainland China and Hongkong is not suitable for itself. Zou Jiahua's goal is very clear about overseas development.

He hopes to go to the Art College of London, England to study menswear design after graduation, push his design to a higher level and get rid of any existing constraints.

Most importantly, he looked at the job market in that area, and praised the originality and originality of the job market.

He hopes to tell people like Hongkong designer Vivienne Tam that Chinese fashion designers can have their own unique style.

In his eyes, the commercial nature of Vivienne Tam is the most complete. "She clearly understands the needs of the international market for fashion with Chinese characteristics, and is good at using the advantages of Chinese traditional culture, plus the tidal current tentacles, and designs an absolutely avant-garde fashion with Chinese characteristics."

The elite need wings of freedom.

Although the distance is far away, Zou Jiahua, as a member of the new JEANSWEST cup design elite club, still hopes for this home: "the elites will be very perfect in the communication network. If we can provide creative design pictures and data to inspire members' creativity, or provide some practical knowledge, such as the development of paper patterns, new technologies in the industry, the trend of the trend and market analysis, it will be icing on the cake."

Zou Jiahua does not deny that entrepreneurship is his ultimate destination.

He wants to build up his own fashion brand and design clothes that are different from the public.

To this end, he hopes that the elite will be able to provide platform for the sale of works, so that the design can reach more consumers.

It is also hoped that the elite will be able to provide advice and information on large-scale production of clothing and help design and make products.

Similarly, he feels that training is of special significance to designers. "Designers want to master knowledge and skills that they can not learn in their work.

It would be ideal if the elite could join in and help the newcomers finish their two education.

Zou Jiahua, accustomed to breaking the rules, is deeply aware of the importance of design freedom.

He believes that the designer's design must have its own reasons. If it is restricted, it may fail to achieve the desired result.

When the designer has greater freedom, his work will naturally show more possibilities.

Perhaps the workplace is not free. I hope that the elite will open up a free space like Zou Jiahua imagined.
