According to the Xinjiang labor and Social Security Bureau, at present, the work of picking up flowers in the Xinjiang regiment has ended, and 475 thousand and 800 flower picking cotton fields have "panning gold" for 2 billion 219 million yuan.

The Xinjiang regiment picked up all the flowers and workers' special trains, and under the organization of the Xinjiang regiment and the Ministry of railways, a total of 101 special trains were dispatched by the railway department to pport 210 thousand and 10 flower workers to return home smoothly.

During the cotton harvest season, the labor and social security departments at all levels of the Xinjiang Corps actively organized flower picking workers and contractors to sign the agreement on picking up flowers and labor services, providing good production and living conditions for the flower picking workers, and timely cash collection.

In 2010, the cost of picking flowers in the reclamation areas of Xinjiang Corps was on average ranging from 1 yuan to 2.5 yuan per kilogram, and the income of pickup workers reached 4664 yuan, an increase of more than 1/3 compared with 2793 yuan per capita in 2009.

At the same time, in the organization of artificial picking, in recent years, the Xinjiang Corps has continuously increased the promotion of cotton production, in order to cope with the shortage of pick-up workers, to pick up the high cost of the situation, the current cotton area of about 1700000 mu, accounting for about 23% of the total area of cotton planting in the Xinjiang Corps.

Xinjiang Corps is one of the most important high quality cotton producing areas in China. The output of cotton is about 1/6 of the whole country. In 2010, 6 million 800 thousand mu of cotton was planted, and the total output of lint cotton was estimated to be 1 million 100 thousand tons.
