Internet Of Things "12Th Five-Year" Plan To Lock Ten Major Areas

According to relevant experts, the key areas of the ten IOT applications are smart grid, intelligent pportation, intelligent logistics, smart home, environmental and safety testing, industrial and automation control, medical health, precision farming, animal husbandry, finance and services, national defense and military.

The largest investment in smart grid is in the ten major areas.

It is reported that from 2009 to 2020, China's "strong smart grid" will be divided into three stages of development. From the initial stage of pilot planning to the comprehensive construction stage of the "12th Five-Year" period, the total investment scale of the smart grid construction will be about 4 trillion yuan during the 13th Five-Year 13th Five-Year period.

The 2011-2015 year is the comprehensive construction stage of the plan. The investment in this stage is about 2 trillion yuan. In the 2016-2020 year, the investment in the smart grid is basically 1 trillion and 700 billion yuan.

We expect to build 50 demonstration projects for the application of Internet of things, 5 to 10 demonstration cities by 2015, and 200 billion yuan for the core technology industry, including 10 billion yuan for sensors, 70 billion yuan for system and experimental tests, 60 billion yuan for industrial scale of chip, middleware, integrated module and equipment industry, and 60 billion yuan for engineering implementation, service development system and operation and maintenance.

In October 28th, Zhang Xiaoqiang, deputy director of the national development and Reform Commission, attended the 2010 China International Internet of things (sensor network) exposition. The national "12th Five-Year" plan has clearly proposed that the next generation of national infrastructure with broadband fusion security should be developed to promote the application of the Internet of things.

It is reported that the NDRC has commissioned experts from the Chinese Academy of engineering to organize the "12th Five-Year plan" of the Internet of things. The Ministry of industry and information technology has also incorporated the planning of the Internet of things into the "12th Five-Year" thematic plan, which is now being actively studied and promoted.

It is also understood that at present, the scale of intelligent pportation is increasing by more than 100 billion yuan per year. Experts say that the "12th Five-Year plan" predicts that by 2015 traffic management will reach 40 billion yuan.

Experts also said that the main projects of smart grid include remote monitoring of power equipment, detection of power equipment operation status and application of power dispatching.

Intelligent pportation and intelligent logistics are mainly used in vehicle information communication, fleet management, commodity monitoring, interactive vehicle navigation, vehicle tracking and positioning.
