T400, T700 and M40 grade carbon fibers have been industrialized.

Judging from the overall situation, China is currently in the pition period from T300 general level to high-performance T700 and T800.

Therefore, the development of high performance carbon fiber has become a top priority.

    Aramid 1313 industrialization

Progress: at present, a number of enterprises in China have formed the scale of industrial production with independent intellectual property rights. The products have initial international competitiveness, and some can replace imports, and have been exported overseas, with a total capacity of 7800 tons.

Aramid fiber is the abbreviation of "aromatic polyamide fiber". It is the fastest growing category of organic high temperature resistant fiber in the world today, and its output and demand are the largest among the three high performance fibers.

There are two varieties of the most practical value: one is the aramid fiber, the whole name is poly (phenyl) two formyl interphenyl two amine fiber, our country also calls Aramid 1313; two is the para aramid fiber, the full name is the poly (para phenyl) two methylene terephthalate two amine fiber, our country also calls the aramid fiber 1414 or the aramid fiber II.

The aramid and para aramid fibers were invented and industrialized by the US DuPont Co in 60s and 70s twentieth Century.

For a long time, the United States and Japan basically monopolized the global aramid market.

China has also started R & D since 60s, but there has been no breakthrough in key engineering technology. Until recently, the domestic enterprises represented by Yantai spandex group have achieved a major breakthrough in the key technologies of aramid, and the construction of aramid has begun to bear fruit.

At present, only 5 companies in the world have realized the industrial production of aramid, with a total capacity of about 38300 tons: the annual capacity of DuPont Co in the United States is 28000 tons, the Yantai spandex group is 5000 tons, the Japanese Teijin company is 2300 tons, the Shanghai Saint Europe company 2000 tons, and the Guangdong colorful company 1000 tons.

    Representing Enterprises: Yantai spandex group

Yantai spandex group, based on the technology of aramid industrialization with independent intellectual property rights, realized the industrialization of aramid in May 2004, filled the gap in China, broke the monopoly of foreign technology and gradually replaced imported products.

After expansion, the production capacity reached 5000 tons, ranking second in the world. The series of products, such as white staple fiber, filament, dyed fiber of raw liquid, dyeable fiber and super fine fiber, have been formed, and the performance indexes basically reach the advanced level of international similar products.

The domestic market share is 55%, and the international market share is about 15%.

Comment: in the 12th Five-Year outline of scientific and technological progress, Aramid 1313 is required to speed up the development and application of high-end industrial chain and break through the industrialization of 10000 tons.

The aramid fiber is mainly used in the fields of high temperature environmental protection filtration, safety protection, industrial textiles and so on. In the next 15~20 years, with the continuous improvement of energy saving and environmental protection requirements, the improvement of safety awareness and protection knowledge and the development of domestic protective clothing production, and the continuous expansion of the application of aramid fiber in industry and composite materials, the annual demand of China's aramid fiber will increase at a rate of 19%.

    {page_break}

    Aramid 1414 industrialization

    - progress: the production line of 100 tons of pilot scale production line is basically realized every year, and the kiloton level industrial production line is being built.

The aramid fiber is more advantageous than the interposition aramid fiber in the properties of high temperature, flame retardancy and insulation. It also has the following outstanding characteristics: high strength, high modulus and thermal stability.

Para aramid fibers are mainly used in: individual protection: used for making anti cut gloves, high temperature resistant clothing and so on; reinforced materials: mainly include reinforcement and repair of building bridges, high strength cables, tire cord fabrics, tire reinforcement and so on; composite materials: mainly include the two structure of the big aircraft, cockpit, hood, radome, antenna, yacht ship, automobile shell and so on; friction seal materials: mainly include brake disc, clutch disc, gearbox friction disc, gasket / film, etc., gradually replacing the carcinogenic asbestos material; sports equipment field: used for making mountaineering boots, racing car body, snowboard, golf clubs and so on.

There are 5 companies in the world to realize the industrialization of the aramid fiber, with a total capacity of about 68000 tons: the US DuPont Co produces 32000 tons annually, the Japanese Tek company has 32000 tons, the Korean company has 2000 tons, the Russian Cummings company 1000 tons, the South Korea Hyosung Corp 1000 tons, and the Yantai spandex group 100 tons.

    Representing Enterprises: Yantai spandex group

Yantai spandex group formally launched the technology development project of aramid fiber in 2004. In 2008, it built the first 100 ton class continuous running production line in China, filling the domestic gap, breaking the monopoly of foreign technology, and passing the technical appraisal organized by Shandong provincial science and technology department.

The aramid pilot products have been applied in the field of hose skeleton, reinforced base cloth, packing seal, optical fiber cable reinforcement and so on.

At present, the company is carrying out the construction of 1000 tons of aramid industrialization project, and is expected to be put into operation in 2011.

Comment: in the 12th Five-Year outline of scientific and technological progress, aramid 1414 should complete industrialization research and development.

With the rapid development of the world economy and technology, the use of aramid fiber has been expanding, especially in the field of composite materials, tire rubber, building and electronic communications.

In recent years, the global consumption of aramid fiber has increased by more than 10% per year, so the supply of aramid fiber is still in a very short supply in the world. It is estimated that domestic demand will reach 15000 tons by 2015.

It is suggested to expand the technology development and scale expansion of aramid main raw materials.

To promote the upgrading of China's aramid raw material processing technology, to achieve self-sufficiency of high quality aramid raw materials, and to meet the domestic aramid production demand.

    Polysulfonamide industrialization

Progress: annual production of 1000 ton production lines has been completed, reaching the international advanced level, and the application area is expanding.

Polysulfonamide fiber is an organic high temperature resistant fiber, and organic high temperature resistant fiber is an organic synthetic fiber that can be used for a long time at more than 180 degrees Celsius or can maintain effective physical properties at a higher temperature for a certain period of time.

It is an important raw material for advanced protective products, high temperature flue gas filter products, high-grade mechanical and electrical products and military products. China's economic construction and military development also urgently need the localization of these fibers.

At present, the capacity of this kind of fiber in the world is about more than 30 thousand tons, but only a few developed countries can produce this kind of fiber, and its manufacturing technology is regarded as the core technology of high-tech fiber, and the technical blockade is imposed on China.

    - representative enterprise: Shanghai Teon Fiber Co., Ltd.

The polysulfonamide fiber developed by Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) company is a new generation of heat resistant fiber. Its heat resistance reaches 250 degrees centigrade, which is obviously higher than the existing products in the market. At the same time, its production cost is similar to the technology of aramid fiber.

In addition, it is superior to the DuPont Co's aramid products in terms of high temperature dimensional stability and flame retardance. Its application is more extensive. The technology is at the international advanced level and is the trend of the development of high temperature resistant fibers in the future.

In 2006, Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) company built a 1000 ton industrial production line, run by its subsidiary Shanghai teunnun Fiber Co., Ltd., which is the world's first product line.

At present, the 1000 tons of industrial production line is in continuous operation, and further studies to solve the matching problems of key production processes and equipment in the downstream industry chain, and gradually build up a series of high temperature and high technology products industrialization platform based on polysulfonamide fiber.

Second more large-scale industrial production lines are being launched, and will be put into operation during the "12th Five-Year" period.

Products have been sold to the United States, Japan, the Middle East, Europe, South Korea, China, Taiwan and other countries and regions.

Comment: in the "12th Five-Year" outline of scientific and technological progress, although no specific development goals have been proposed for polysulfonamide, but as the upgraded product of aramid fiber has been recognized by the society as the upgrading product of the aramid fiber, the evaluation of many units indicates that the physical and chemical properties of the polysulfonamide products are especially outstanding in heat resistance, the fiber processing performance is good, the products have permanent flame-retardant and heat resistance, the advantages of wearing comfort are obvious, the dyeing performance is obvious, and there is a good market prospect.

Industrialization of cellulose fibers by new solvent method

Progress: at present, an annual production line of 1000 ton scale has been built, and significant achievements have been made in the localization of equipment.

    Fiber industrialization

    Further development is needed.

Lyocell fiber is a new type of regenerated cellulose fiber developed in the 90s of last century. It is made by directly dissolving natural cellulose raw material (pulp) in the mixed solvent of N- methyl morpholine -N- oxide (NMMO) and water.

This new solvent process is a new process for producing cellulosic fibers without chemical reaction. The process of dissolving, spinning and solvent recovery is closed, and the whole production process is less than half of viscose.

Not only raw materials are natural, the products can be biodegraded after use, but almost all the solvents in the production process are recovered and can be reused.

Because NMMO is a green solvent that does not cause mutation, the production process is harmless to the environment.

Therefore, the production process of Lyocell fiber has no pollution to the environment and accords with the requirements of environmental protection. It is known as the "green environmental protection fiber of twenty-first Century".

The main producers of Lyocell fiber are Austria Lenzing Co, the trade name is TENCEL (Tian Si), other manufacturers such as TITK of Germany, Korea star company, China Shanghai Rio fiber enterprise development Co., Ltd., India Birla Viscose company and so on.

Representative enterprise: Shanghai Rio fiber enterprise development Co., Ltd.

Shanghai Rio fiber enterprise development Co., Ltd. established the Lyocell fiber production line by continuous vacuum full mixing propulsion dissolution technology.

Since the first bundle of fibers was spun in February 2006, after more than 4 years of research and exploration, the first generation of green Lyocell (Lesel) fiber has been successfully and steadily produced, breaking the monopoly production situation of the only Lenzing Co in Austria, and becoming the first enterprise in China to produce this product.

In 2009, the world's first Lyocell bamboo fiber was developed.

It currently produces about 300 tons of fiber per year.

Comment: at present, China is at a critical moment in the research of cellulosic fiber engineering in the new solvent method. Therefore, in the 12th Five-Year outline of scientific and technological progress, it is proposed that the new solvent method will produce 10000 tons of cellulose fiber capacity by 2015, and achieve the production technology of solvent based fiber fibers with Chinese characteristics.

    Industrialization of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS)

Progress: the polymerization of fiber grade polyphenylene sulfide, the technology and equipment for the industrialization of silk spinning have made a major breakthrough, reaching the international advanced level and successfully replacing the import.

PPS resin production capacity of 28 thousand tons, fiber capacity of 3000 tons.

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fiber is one of the flame retardant fibers. Because of its high breaking strength, low moisture regain, high temperature resistance and high limit oxygen index, it is the first choice for industrial filtration fabrics.

Its application in environmental protection, chemical filtration and military fields is particularly prominent.

Such as high temperature bag type dust removal, garbage incinerator filtration, cement plant filter bag, electrical insulation materials, flame retardant materials, composite materials and so on.

In addition, it can also be used for canvas, sewing thread, various protective cloth, heat-resistant material, electric insulation material, electrolytic diaphragm and friction disc (brake).

According to different uses, the production of PPS is about 3000 tons.

    It is understood.

The consumption of polyphenylene sulfide in China is about 5000~5500 tons per year, while the global consumption is about 8000 tons. China has become the main user of PPS.

At present, foreign manufacturers mainly include Japanese Dongli company, Dongyang textile company, American FIT company, France Nexis company and so on.

Our country started relatively late. At present, Sichuan Deyang science and technology joint stock company, Jiangsu Ruitai science and Technology Co., Ltd., Liaoning Yingkou Yingkou Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Haining new energy Textile Co., Ltd. and other enterprises produce polyphenylene sulfide fiber.

Representative enterprise: Jiangsu Ruitai Technology Co., Ltd.

In January 10, 2010, the new plant of Jiangsu Ruitai Technology Co., Ltd. in Zhangjiagang was put into operation. Its design capacity is PPS short fiber 10 thousand tons / year, filament 3000 tons / year.

At present, the first stage production has reached the design target, forming a production scale of 2500 tons before spinning and 5000 tons after spinning.

At present, the technical indicators of Jiangsu's polyphenylene sulfide staple fiber have been close to the products of Dongli, Japan. The filaments have achieved large-scale production and are heading for industrialization. The capacity is expected to reach 3000 tons / year.

Comment: with the development of environmental protection, low carbon and automobile and electronics industry in our country, the application scope of PPS is expanding.

Although the output of PPS fiber in China has increased year by year, PPS chips still rely heavily on imports.

Therefore, the textile industry "12th Five-Year" outline of scientific and technological progress pointed out that polyphenylene sulfide fiber should realize the industrialization of fiber grade slicing and filament.

To speed up the development of PPS fiber, the key is to solve the industrialization problem of raw material PPS fiber grade slicing and filament, and make our country's dependence on imports improved.

To this end, in addition to increasing investment, the government should make full use of private capital and take the path of combination of production, teaching and research. Enterprises and research institutes should tackle key problems together to solve the key problem of PPS fiber.

    Production technology

We will make China become a big and powerful country of PPS production at an early date.
