    According to the statistics of the China National Business Information Center, in the first three quarters of 2010, the retail sales of men's clothing in major retail enterprises increased by 28.92% over the same period last year, and the rate of increase was 5.36 percentage points over the previous year. The proportion in clothing retail sales was 18.7%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over the same period last year.

    The growth rate of clothing retail sales of key large retail enterprises in China is 3.08 percentage points higher than that of the overall sales, indicating that the consumption demand of clothing is relatively strong in the first three quarters. In the clothing market, the increase of retail sales of men's clothing is 28.92% percentage points higher than that of the 23.17% of the overall clothing market, which indicates that the consumption demand of men's clothing is higher in 2010.

Compared with the first three quarters of the year, the men's clothing price of the major retail enterprises in the country increased by 15% over the same period, the growth rate in these months was only 3.3%, 10% and 9.9% respectively.


    1~2 months, May and August are all holidays or college graduates' inauguration time. This also reflects to a large extent that the price of men's clothing is still relatively high in China. In addition, the consumption demand of college graduates is relatively high.


    The growth of high-end brand shares is obvious.


    According to the statistics of the China National Business Information Center, in 2008 and 2009, the total market share of the top ten brands of men's suit market was 34.25% and 32.14% respectively. The total market share of the top ten brands in the men's shirt Market was 39.91% and 37.75% respectively, and the brand set was relatively low and showing a downward trend.

    From the first three quarters of 2010, the top ten brands of men's suits and men's shirts had little change compared with the previous ten years, and brand competition remained fierce.


    While competition is still fierce, the share of high-end brands in men's wear market shows a growth trend, and the market share of the international first-line brands such as Armani, Zegna, Sabatini and Dunhill has increased significantly.

    In 2009, in the men's suit market, only the market share of Zegna entered the top 20. From the first three quarters of 2010, the frequency of the comprehensive market share of brands, such as Armani, Zegna, Sabatini and Dunhill, increased to the top 20. Even in August, the market share of Dunhill and Zegna ranked the top 10.
