Shanghai Will Build "Ten Trade Platforms" In The Next Five Years

This year, the main target of Shanghai's business operation has been clear. It is expected that the total sales volume of the city will increase by about 20%, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods will increase by about 12%.

At the Shanghai Business Briefing 2011, Tang Dengjie, vice mayor of Shanghai, said that the future business development of Shanghai will be based on improving the open economic structure and improving the level of open economy. The next step is to pay more attention to the "Four Combinations": pay more attention to the combination of "Introduction" and "going out"; pay more attention to the integration of goods trade and service trade; and pay more attention to expanding the trade of goods.

Sha Hailin, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai municipal government and director of the Municipal Commerce Commission, introduced the economic and social development of Shanghai in 2010 and the business operation of the whole city. The key areas of Shanghai's economic development during the 12th Five-Year period and the related considerations on promoting the construction of the International Trade Center and the main objectives and priorities of Shanghai's business development in 2011 were also discussed.

It is reported that, on the basis of optimizing the structure, we should maintain a moderate scale of foreign capital utilization. The proportion of the third industry's utilization of foreign capital is more than 70%, and there are 30 new regional headquarters, 15 investment companies, 15 R & D centers, and 20% growth of foreign direct investment, which are also included in the main objectives of Shanghai's business operation this year.

The director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of commerce also revealed that the plan for the construction of the international trade center in 12th Five-Year was being formulated.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, Shanghai will basically form a relatively complete functional framework of the international trade center.

In the next five years, Shanghai will vigorously promote the construction of the ten major trade platforms in the country, including large-scale exhibition facilities platform, overseas marketing network platform, technology import and export trading platform, online international trade center platform, commodity trading platform, modern service industry cluster platform, shopping paradise consumption platform, financial information release International Information Port platform, and international trade organization gathering platform.

It is reported that the Shanghai business department will build a number of functional trading platforms with strong radiation force, cohesive force and influence this year, and speed up the functional breakthrough of the international trade center.

Among them, accelerate the construction of National Convention and exhibition projects, and strive to start as soon as possible.

In the field of electronic commerce, we will innovate ideas in policies, standards, supervision and services, optimize the development environment of e-commerce, and at the same time rely on the Ministry of municipal cooperation mechanism to start the construction of China International online trade center project.

Regarding the construction of Waigaoqiao international trade demonstration zone, Shanghai will actively strive for the pilot test policy, promote the pilot work of new international trade such as offshore trade, vigorously cultivate the trade function of the demonstration area, and form a number of high-end and specialized import trade platform.

In addition, Shanghai is expected to push forward the construction of China's technology import and export trading center this year, promote the construction of Yangpu product design and Trade Promotion Center, accelerate the construction of comprehensive financial information platform, and form the function of international economic and trade information port.
