In 2010, the textile and garment industry in Jiangsu achieved a total industrial output value of 10521 billion yuan, double the end of the "fifteen" period, and steadily increased export earnings. The per capita profit, asset profit rate and sales profit margin have been raised in an all-round way. The brand strategy has achieved initial success, and the cluster economy has been developing vigorously, and a number of backbone enterprises have grown up.

"China Textile Industry Association has proposed that by 2020, China should basically build a strong textile and clothing science and technology, brand power, sustainable development power and talent power.

As the eastern developed province, during the '12th Five-Year' period, Jiangsu will focus on the "four strategic adjustments" to create new advantages in the next round of competition and development.

Jiangsu's four major strategic adjustments include industrial restructuring, technological restructuring, organizational restructuring and structural adjustment of regional distribution.

Among them, the industrial structure adjustment refers to the structural adjustment of the four major industrial sectors, such as the textile industry plate, the clothing industry plate, the chemical fiber industry plate, and the textile machinery and equipment industry plate.

Through adjustment, Jiangsu's textile and garment industry will move towards a technology intensive and capital intensive industry.

The structural adjustment of technology focuses on improving the level of technology, and at the same time improving the productivity of all workers, further reflecting the priority of efficiency in Jiangsu.

The upgrading of Jiangsu's textile and garment industry will focus on improving efficiency.

Take the cotton textile industry as an example, the employment of Jiangsu's advanced enterprises will reach below 60 at present, and it will reach 40 people by the end of 12th Five-Year. Leading enterprises will move towards 20 people.

Xie Ming said that the adjustment of organizational structure was due to the fact that many textile and garment enterprises in Jiangsu used to be produced.

In terms of structural adjustment of regional distribution, the "cross river development" strategy and "going global" strategy put forward by the Jiangsu provincial Party committee and provincial government are the direction and key points of Jiangsu's regional structural adjustment.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, Jiangsu's textile and garment industry will develop faster and more vigorously.

In recent years, Jiangsu textile and garment industry has defined the development direction of "brand Jiangsu and fashion Jiangsu", taking the annual Jiangsu International Fashion Festival as the platform, and strive to build brand advantage and fashion advantage.

At present, Jiangsu has 2 famous brands in China, more than 50 famous brands in China, more than 30 famous trademarks in China, and more than 300 famous brands in Jiangsu.
