India Government Again Restricts Export Of Cotton Yarn
The federal government of India once again decided to restrict exports of cotton yarn. The export limit in fiscal year 2011-12 was 845 million kg, higher than the 720 million kg limit in the previous fiscal year.
From March 31st to now, Cotton yarn Exports are not restricted, although registration is required.
The above decision was made by the joint conference of the Ministry of textiles, the Ministry of Finance and the Minister of Commerce of India. The notice will be issued soon.
The government is also considering setting a similar ceiling for cotton exports. However, these officials believe that it is too early to consider the issue of export restriction due to the fact that the output has not yet been assessed.
