Situation: the first batch of spring cocoons have been listed this year. Guangxi has suffered severe low-temperature climate this spring. The silkworm eggs have been issued in a series of twists and turns. After the silkworm eggs were put out, the air temperature suddenly dropped. Many areas had to put the silkworm eggs out of storage in the refrigerator and refrigerate again, so that the time for listing the spring cocoons was delayed for nearly one month, and the spring cocoons were less than 1~2.

By the end of April 15th, the number of products in the whole region decreased by 15% compared with the same period last year. However, the time difference between spring and cocoon listing in southern Guangxi and Northwest Guangxi was significantly shortened. In Hengxian, there was a large number of listing in May 8th, and 9 in Xiangzhou District were listed in large numbers, while 10 in Yizhou area was also listed on a large scale, with an interval of only 2 days.

In the past few years, the first spring silkworm had a rare purulent disease, which made the quality inspection of spring cocoons uneven, and the rate of relaxation was 70 to 80%, and the difference was only about 40%.

Due to the rapid rise of temperature in recent years, the amount of seed production has increased rapidly, which has already made up for the silkworm eggs that had been released for a short time. By the end of April, the quantity of silkworm eggs was 10% more than that of the same period last year.

Silkworm cocoon production is expected to remain at last year's level without major disasters.

The price of spring cocoons showed a trend of high before and after low, and the purchase price gradually dropped from 23~24 yuan per kilogram to 19~20 yuan, while that in southern Guangxi dropped to about 18 yuan.

Due to the delayed listing of spring cocoons, some silk reeling factories are short of raw cocoons, raw silk production is reduced, and a large number of silk factories are not in stock and demand is increasing.

Wang Chunhua, chairman of Jiangsu Hua Jia group, also introduced the situation of foreign silk market at the meeting: Brazil's cocoon silk industry was severely atrophied, and only 5 of the more than 20 silkworm farms started to work, and now imported high-grade Chinese silk.

With the revival of European and American economies, sales of silk clothing have picked up, especially the increase in the amount of silk used for brand clothing.

Through the exchange of meetings, the executive directors of the association believe that although the listing time of spring cocoons is postponed this year, there are less than 1~2 batches of silkworms.

At present, the price of fresh cocoons has dropped to a price corresponding to the current silk price. It is estimated that the price of spring cocoons will fluctuate in a small range on the basis of current prices.

In view of the current seed production and output of spring cocoons, we urge everyone to maintain a calm mind in the current cocoon purchasing work. The parties should exchange more information and strengthen self-discipline in the industry. They should neither press down on prices, hurt farmers, or hurt farmers, nor lift up prices, blindly rush to buy, prevent prices from going up and falling, maintain a stable purchasing environment, and achieve a win-win situation for sericultural farmers, cocoons and reeling enterprises, and promote the healthy and stable development of Guangxi cocoon silk industry.

The following work will be focused on in the near future. First, we should make full use of the good platform of the ASEAN Expo to organize enterprises to participate in exhibitions and publicize Guangxi silk and expand their influence. Two, we should actively organize members to exchange with the counterparts at home and abroad and conduct market research, so as to organize a group to visit the provinces such as Jiang, Zhe, Chuan and India, and the three is to establish an industry information statistics and communication system.

All relevant departments are required to attach great importance to the acquisition of cocoons, strengthen market price guidance, do a good job in the supervision of cocoon purchase market order, strengthen the management of cocoon purchase, and maintain normal purchase order.
