Maison Martin Margiela Arrives In Beijing
In 1988, Maison Martin Margiela was established.
20 years later, it came to Beijing.
From June 13, 2008 to July 1st, a "Maison Martin Margiela Beijing Exhibition" was opened in the 798 Art District of Beijing. Let's witness the trend of Maison Martin Margiela in the 20 years.
The exhibition hall is divided into 8 rooms, corresponding to the 8 themes to show the mentality of Maison Martin Margiela brand.
ROOM NO.1: MMM DNA
Entering the door is the first room known as "MMM DNA". A fine European paper model with fine workmanship is placed on a white wooden table, and four white boxes are scattered at random.
There are some brand information on the walls of the corner. Nine simple white clocks show the flow and solidification of the time to the viewers. They symbolize the nine cities of the Maison Martin Margiela brand in the world.
The slide is projected on the side of the white wall, allowing the disco ball on the corner to reflect a different world.
The other side of the table is surrounded by four white chairs of different shapes, with an old typewriter and several desk lamps on the table, creating a quiet studio atmosphere.
ROOM NO.2: FEMALE COLLECTIONS
From the left door into the back area, the second rooms show the Maison Martin Margiela dress series.
In the center of the room, there are a group of people covered by white cloth, each of which is made according to the real size of the model. The white cloth is specially produced by an artist in Paris for Maison Martin Margiela.
There are some pictures of the blindfold models and other related materials on the walls. These photos are all girls who have auditioned for Maison Martin Margiela from 1989 to the present - from friends to professional models.
There is also a wall featured the first issue of Maison Martin Margiela, which was published in Women's Wear Daily in March 22, 1989 by Elizabeth Allen.
ROOM NO.3: CINEMA
The third room is a closed projection room. It is surrounded by black curtain. There are several rows of white seats for visitors to sit down. Here they can view the video data of the Maison Martin Margiela series on the curtain wall.

ROOM NO.4: SPECIAL PROJECT
In the fourth room, the viewer can see a car with a special surface in the center of the room. This is designed by Maison Martin Margiela for the "Car Cover" campaign launched by Intersection magazine. The event involved six designers, who produced different automotive exterior decorations to show the trend of the season.
Maison Martin Margiela's automobile works use special materials that are handled by means of water, wind, and external force. They are tailored and painted. Finally, they are made into a Maison Martin Margiela coat for the car.
In the four corners of the room, there are several magazines that are reported on this device. There are some other special works and related reports from Maison Martin Margiela on the walls of the room. They are used to help viewers to get a deeper understanding of the strange car and the story behind the Maison Martin Margiela design.
ROOM NO.5: ARTISANAL EXHIBITION
The fifth room is the largest in the exhibition. Here are 14 Maison Martin Margiela handmade special costumes. The whole room is permeated with the white tone of the brand name, the white auxiliary materials and the unified lighting with different materials, which will show the work more unique.
Stepping into this white room, the silhouette of people's desk or clothing behind the white curtain will be projected onto the curtain, showing the outline of each work with light and shadow.
An object is placed before each curtain to represent the elements of the corresponding work.
The viewer turns to the back of the curtain to see the work itself.
The 14 metaphors and their corresponding works are:
1. tableware filter drying rack -- a waistcoat made of plates and fragments, and autumn and winter works in 1989-1990.
2. hand plank - white breastplate made of breastplate, spring and summer in 2001.
3. hat boxes - cloaks made of old soft soft hat, autumn and winter works of 2004-2005.
4. head model jacket made from wig, autumn and winter in 2005-2006.
5. wedding cake -- a women's evening dress made of three wedding dresses and 2005-2006 autumn and winter works.
6. artificial snow, a coat made of warm fur cap, and autumn and winter in 2005-2006.
7. black electrical tape -- the old lady jacket made of adhesive tape, autumn and winter in 2005-2006.
8. neck model - jacket made of antique necklace, spring and summer of 2006.
9. table blankets - men's Vest made of playing cards, spring and summer works of 2006.
10. shoebox - the hollowed jacket made of sandals, the spring and summer works of 2006.
11. black necktie - a dress made of men's ties and a dress for autumn and winter in 2006-2007.
12. fur list - the leather heirlet of irregular hem, autumn and winter in 2006-2007.
13. notebooks, keys, pens and other bits and pieces - a handbag made of motorcycle helmet. This autumn and winter work in 2006-2007 is displayed on a white hand model.
14. ski pole - warm vest made of ski gloves, autumn and winter in 2006-2007.

ROOM NO.6: ACCESSORIES
Room 6 shows the Maison Martin Margiela accessories series.
In the middle of the room there are Maison Martin Margiela head models with different sizes and black eyes.
On the side of the wall, a white handbag was displayed in the sealed box. It was painted in the hands of the white man painted on the wall.
On the other side of the wall are several sprayed Pegasus clouds, with different shapes and materials of different frames placed below the picture, decorated with pictures of Maison Martin Margiela accessories.
In addition, there are sixth rows of Maison Martin Margiela Tabi hidden shoes and a small TV set playing the relevant music videos in the room.
ROOM NO.7: INTERIOR DESIGN
The next seventh areas are a purely flat room, with four sides and floors showing the same reproduction of the real indoor environment, inspired by the store and headquarters environment of Maison Martin Margiela.
The viewer can feel the mystery of the truth and the truth.
The device was created by Luca Marchetti and Emanuele Quinz, and was exhibited at Luxemburg's Dysfashional exhibition in 2007.
ROOM NO.8: MALE COLLECTIONS
The last room shows the men's wear series of Maison Martin Margiela.
The most striking thing in this room is twenty life size black-and-white paper models. These models are the real scenes of Maison Martin Margiela in 2006 Pitti Uomo Party in Florence, Italy. They are wearing Maison Martin Margiela men's clothing, some holding wine glasses, and some are whispering with their friends.
The models were scattered with glass, balloons and scraps of paper on their feet. The white light from bottom to bottom created a unique sense of the scene.
There are some photos on the wall next to you. These are male models who have worked with Maison Martin Margiela since 1999.
In addition, you can see that there is a TV set and a white sofa in the corner, which enable the viewer to feel comfortable and comfortable in the living room.
On TV, all the men's wear data from Maison Martin Margiela from 1999 to now are different from traditional fashion show data, which can come from various media, such as video, events, photo exhibitions, etc.
