In April this year, the municipal Consumer Protection Commission made a comparative test on children's footwear products sold in the market. 30 samples were purchased by 7 staff from the city's shopping malls and supermarkets.

This sample of 30 children's shoes is mainly suitable for children aged 3 to 14 years old. It involves 24 famous brands with high popularity or large sales volume, including 15 tourist shoes, 13 leather shoes and 2 leisure shoes.

The test results showed that there were serious defects in the 15 samples, and the coincidence rate was only 50%. The appearance quality did not meet 5 items, the peel strength was not in conformity with 3 pieces, and the hardness of the soles did not conform to 8 pieces.

Another 7 samples met the standard, but there were slight defects. Among them, 4 samples were of appearance quality and 3 samples were product identification.

The municipal Consumer Protection Commission has proposed to the relevant enterprises to stop selling the same batch and the same type of products, and make rectification. The enterprises concerned have actively rectify within the prescribed time limit and submit written reports.
