    Jiangsu Garment Association Conference Held

    The "12th Five-Year" adjustment and upgrading, innovation and development annual meeting and the fifth second session of Jiangsu clothing association were held in Shengze Town, Jiangsu province.

    At the meeting, Xie Ming, President of Jiangsu Textile Industry Association, made a work report entitled "building new advantages of Jiangsu".

    President Xie Ming said that "11th Five-Year" is a critical period for industrial development.

    After the test of the post quota era and the global financial crisis, Jiangsu and the nation's apparel counterparts have been able to assess the situation, climb hard and win the crisis.

    The total profit, sales revenue, total industrial output value, total assets and number of employees in Jiangsu garment industry increased by 208.47%, 171.26%, 171.51%, 143.78% and 58.81% respectively compared with that in 2005.

    The growth rate of total profit is higher than that of sales revenue and gross industrial output value, which is much higher than that of total assets and staff and workers.

    As for the whole "11th Five-Year" period, the garment industry in Jiangsu maintained a sustained and stable growth situation, and made important progress in terms of total economic volume, market expansion, economic efficiency, industry competitiveness, and structural adjustment.


    Xie Ming pointed out that this year is the year when 12th Five-Year begins.

    Economics

    With the continuous development of urbanization and development, the policies adopted by the state to improve people's livelihood will continue to be implemented. The potential of the domestic demand market will be further released and will continue to promote the development of the garment industry.

    Although there are still many uncertain factors in the international economic environment, the world economy has not yet fully emerged from the shadow of the financial crisis, but there are many factors that are conducive to the development of the industry. It is expected that the international market of textile and clothing in 2011 is expected to resume growth.

    But at the same time, the development of Jiangsu's garment industry in 2011 is still facing uncertain factors.

    First, the impact of national financial and monetary policies on industrial development can not be ignored. Two, the high cost of raw materials will increase the risk of enterprise operation. Three, the high unemployment rate in developed countries and the high inflation in emerging market countries will restrict the demand of the international market. Four, the pressure of RMB appreciation will increase the uncertainty of exports. Five, it is the impact of domestic inflation pressure on the domestic market.

    In 2011, the overall requirements of Jiangsu's clothing industry's economic work were: comprehensively promoting industrial pformation and upgrading. The key point is to adjust the structure, develop independent brands, adhere to independent innovation, and vigorously promote the pformation of the industry's economic development from resource dependence to innovation driven mode, and extensive development to intensive development, and strive to make Jiangsu manufacture to create a pformation to Jiangsu.

    With the domestic political stability, economic progress, consumption growth and steady increase in international demand, China's garment industry is facing another good opportunity for development. The garment industry has embarked on a new journey from a big garment nation to a strong garment country.

    When it comes to changing the fashion power to a strong garment country, President Jiang put forward a group of digital "5421": the clothing power is mainly manifested in five aspects; in the next five to fifteen years, the garment industry should strive to achieve "four breakthroughs"; the implementation strategy should start with two links of "contribution rate of science and technology" and "brand contribution rate"; strive to create a favorable ecological environment conducive to the growth of independent brands, and then achieve the goal of a powerful country.
