Zhejiang University Of Science And Technology School Introduction
Zhejiang University of Science and Technology is a multi-disciplinary full-time undergraduate course, which is mainly engineering, integrating science, engineering, culture, economics, management and vocational teachers.
According to China's national conditions, we should learn from the experience of the German University of Applied Sciences, and actively explore the road of cultivating applied, internationalized and high-quality scientific and technological talents that are welcomed by the society.
The school has 3 campuses, covering an area of more than 2600 mu.
The campus of the Xueyuan Road campus is located in the high tech Development Zone near the West Lake in Hangzhou, with convenient pportation and beautiful environment.
The Xiao He Shan campus is located in the scenic western Hangzhou tourist area and the small and high education park in Zhejiang province.
At present, there are more than 13000 full-time students and more than 4000 adult students, including departments of computer and electronic engineering, Department of computer and electronic engineering, Department of information and electrical engineering, Department of electrical and mechanical engineering, Department of civil engineering, Department of biology and chemical engineering, Department of design and art, Department of economics and management, Department of foreign languages, Department of science, Department of educational information technology, Department of vocational education, Polytechnic, higher Career Technical College, adult education college, social science department, sports and military training department.
There are 31 undergraduate majors and 15 vocational colleges.

The development and construction of the school has always been closely linked with reform and opening up and foreign exchange and cooperation.
In 1985, Zhejiang and Lowersaxony, Germany signed an agreement to cooperate in the construction of our school.
In 1990, the governments of China and Germany formally exchanged notes on the two governments' cooperation to build our school project.
In November 1997, our school hosted a large-scale international symposium on the training and development trend of Applied Talents in China and Germany, sponsored by the State Education Commission.
People from higher education in China and Germany have highly valued the achievements made by the German model in exploring the training of highly applied international talents with Chinese characteristics.
In 1998, Zhejiang Sino German science and technology promotion center was established in our school. In the same year, our school and German Academic Exchange Center started DAAD (German academic exchange) project cooperation.
In 2001, he participated in the German Higher Education Exhibition, held a seminar on German cooperation, and took a new step in foreign exchange and cooperation.
At present, the new round of provincial and state exchanges and cooperation projects and inter school cooperation projects are progressing smoothly. The depth and breadth of cooperation have been expanded. According to the agreement between the government of the People's Republic of China and the government of Federal Republic of Germany on the mutual recognition of higher education equivalence, signed by the Minister of education of China and Felma, Minister of state of the German Foreign Ministry in April 9, 2002, the equivalent degrees of bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctorate degree of the two countries were recognized each other, and China and Germany recognized each other's academic degrees in higher education.
This will further promote the cooperation and exchanges between the University and German universities.
Through years of external cooperation, advantages and funds of cooperation projects, we have built computing center, CNC machining center, welding center, computer network, hydraulic and pneumatic control, 3D coordinate measurement, injection molding, forming processing and large motor technology, which belong to the forefront of laboratories and student practice bases in similar schools in China, which meet the needs of teaching, scientific research and production.
Our school has sent more than 200 people to study abroad, improving the professional level of teachers and the professional ability of managers.
The German presidents including former German President Roman Hull zuok, as well as many German experts and scholars, have visited and worked in schools, totaling more than 500 people.
Our school has established long-term friendly and cooperative relations with 11 institutions such as Hannover Applied Science University, Nuremberg Applied Science University, Dresden University of technology and economics, University of Applied Sciences of Lowersaxony, northeast Applied Science University and Kiel Applied Science University.
Our school has signed an agreement between Germany and Hannover Applied Science University, Dresden University of Applied Science, Nuremberg University of Applied Science and Brunswick / Wo Finn Peter Applied Science University, starting from the freshmen of Grade 2000. According to the selection method of "volunteer + assessment", we selected some students to study in China for two years, and then to Germany for three years, that is, the joint training mode of "2+3" and the "4+1.5" joint training mode, so as to train high-quality applied international talents.
The school has a highly qualified, highly skilled and highly skilled faculty with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
There are more than 1000 staff members, including more than 600 full-time teachers, and about 85% of the senior and intermediate professional titles.
The teachers and advanced instruments and equipment in our school have created favorable conditions for the teaching and research work of the school.
In recent years, our university has undertaken and completed a number of high level scientific research projects and design research tasks.

Two. Design and Art Department
The Department of design and art is based on national conditions, insisting on its characteristics, facing the society and developing in an all-round way. It is the guiding ideology for training high level applied research talents with wide adaptability and practical ability.
Over the years, the Department of design and art has been exploring in the field of art design education, aiming at training high-quality talents for innovation and entrepreneurship, establishing a teaching mode and curriculum system that combines teaching with production practice, combining art teaching with engineering teaching, combining creative design teaching with product design teaching, combining domestic teaching with international cooperative education, and paying attention to cultivating students' creativity and adaptability.
Every year, quite a number of students take part in various social competitions and win prizes. The students of fashion design major have been awarded the "new person Award" by the China Fashion Designers Association many times. The college has been awarded the "Education Award" many times, of which two graduates have been named the top ten fashion designers in China.
Many students soon became the chief designer or design director of the enterprise after graduation. Some graduates took the road of self employment and created their own brands, such as "Cherry show", "Rome sentiment", "Yi Gu" and "Zhou Shi Yilin", which have become famous brands in Hangzhou's clothing industry.
So far, more than one thousand college graduates have been trained, and have been active in various sectors of the society and welcomed by the society.
Since 1998, the Department of design and art has been conducting extensive cooperation and exchanges with relevant institutions in Germany. A number of teachers have been selected to give lectures, visits, studies and participate in international academic conferences. Many students have been sent to Germany for further studies and exchanges.
At present, this kind of international cooperation and exchanges has been developing towards joint school running. Since 2000, our school has selected 10~15 students of design and art department to go to Germany for a long term study in Hannover Applied Science University for three years.

Four, design and art department about Sino German joint training program for undergraduate students
Training mode and link "2+3", that is, the 2 academic year (Basic Teaching: in our school) +1 school year (pition study, in German Cooperative School) +2 school year (art is 2.5 school year; professional teaching: in German Cooperative School).
A degree awarded to a bachelor's degree and a co operative institution of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology will be awarded to DIPLOM (FH) degree.
Graduation design thesis defense is carried out in two universities in China and Germany.
Design professional art design (including clothing, visual communication, environmental art, etc.), industrial design.
The preparatory work of the preparatory course for Sino German joint training for undergraduate preparatory classes will be carried out after the admission of new students. The selection will follow the principle of "voluntary registration and merit admission".
In the enrollment of freshmen, ranking according to English scores and total score of college entrance examination.
Every year, about 10% of the students in the school take part in the preparatory course. After 2-3 years' study, the students who have professional and German scores are eligible to study in Germany.
Some of the senior students also chose German as the second foreign language.
Selection method
Under the joint participation of teachers from China and Germany, it is in line with the principle of "fairness, justice and openness".
In the fourth semester after the new year's entrance, our school began to make professional selection for the students who were jointly trained. The professional selection was divided into written examination and oral test, and after the professional selection was qualified, they took part in the fourth semester language test.
The two tests are all qualified, which can be used as a joint training for our students to study in Germany.

2. Visual communication art design (literature, art enrolment)
