Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology is the only full-time college in the country that has the characteristics of clothing, arts and crafts, and disciplines, such as arts, engineering, economics and management.

Founded in 1959, the school was originally affiliated to the Ministry of textile industry and pferred to Beijing as the main management in 1998.

In recent years, the school has adhered to the school running concept of "seeking innovation and learning for practical use", adhered to the characteristics of running schools, and established a clothing teaching system combining "art education with engineering education, management education, combining national costume culture with modern design concepts, combining theory teaching with practice teaching".
