The India Government Has Allowed More Than 1 Million Bales Of Cotton Exported This Year.

The government of India has decided to export 5 million 500 thousand bales (170 kg / bag) of cotton in 2010-11 years (October -9), most of which have already been exported.

On Wednesday, the informal ministerial group met under the auspices of finance minister Mu Keji, and decided to allow another 1 million bales of cotton.

"We calculated the surplus of cotton that was allowed to export 5 million 500 thousand packs.

The government decided to allow another 1 million bales of cotton to be exported.

Therefore, the total export volume will reach 6 million 500 thousand packages, "Anand Sharma, Minister of industry and commerce, told reporters after the meeting.

India has exported 5 million 250 thousand bales of cotton, and the government will allow the remaining quantity to be exported, he added.

Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar suggested that 1 million 500 thousand packages of exports should be increased this year to help farmers earn more money.

Sharma said that before new cotton entered the market in October, the government grasps cotton stocks according to industrial demand and the actual situation of domestic consumption of cotton.

According to the Ministry of agriculture, in the 2010-11 year of agriculture, India is expected to produce 33 million 900 thousand bales of cotton, compared to 24 million 200 thousand packs last year.
