Fuzhou'S Tannery And Other Backward Industries Will Be Eliminated.

A few days ago, the Fuzhou municipal government issued the "Fuzhou total pollutant emission reduction plan for 2011" to clarify the target of emission reduction this year.

The plan calls for the control of sulfur dioxide emissions in the city within 92 thousand and 150 tons this year, a net reduction of 2 thousand and 850 tons over the previous year, a 3% reduction in emissions, and a control of nitrogen oxides emissions within 116 thousand and 650 tons, a net reduction of 8 thousand and 250 tons over last year and a 6.6% reduction in emissions. The chemical oxygen demand in the industrial, domestic and livestock farms will be controlled at 6 thousand and 910 tons, 71 thousand and 610 tons and 141 thousand and 700 tons respectively, respectively.

To ensure the completion of the emission reduction plan, this year, the city will arrange 67 key emission reduction projects for industrial and domestic water pollutants.

According to the relevant regulations, the livestock and poultry farms in the forbidden zone will be closed, and the total amount of pollutant discharge from livestock and poultry is 20% lower than that of last year.

Our city will also strictly implement the provincial government's opinions on leather, paper and other industries to implement papermaking, leather making, pharmaceuticals and so on.
