    College introduction:



       

    Shenzhen University

    Design department was established in 1994, and it was originally established in 1997.

    Art Department of design department and Teachers College

    Merged with the establishment of the art academy, it was renamed in 2002.

    School of art and design

    In 2006, it changed to the Academy of art and design.

      


    The Institute has two master's degree and two master's degree in art design and fine arts, and master's degree in arts.

    There are 7 directions in the 5 departments: industrial design, environmental art, fashion design engineering, clothing brand planning and marketing, graphic design, animation, creative planning and design management. Over 1000 undergraduates and graduate students have been awarded. Over the past 3 years, students have won more than 100 awards in various competitions and exhibitions.

    In 2009, 16 works were selected for the Eleventh National Exhibition of fine arts, one of which was awarded the gold medal.

      


    The Institute has a key research base of the city's liberal arts, the Shenzhen modern art and Design Research Center, which publishes a magazine published in the Journal of design and Chinese print.

           

    There are 7 laboratories: animation laboratory, fashion design laboratory, environmental art design laboratory, industrial design laboratory, design basic laboratory, graphic design laboratory and pottery laboratory.

    The library and reference room has more than 20000 volumes of professional books.

           

    After years of development, the college has basically formed a vigorous teaching and research team with expertise, reasonable structure and innovative spirit.

    There are 60 faculty members, of whom 51 are full-time teachers and 9 are administrative personnel.

    There are 12 people with high professional titles, 18 with high professional titles, 23 with intermediate titles, 7 with Ph.D., and 34 from master's degree.

     

    Industrial Design: established in 1987.

    It is one of the earliest institutions of industrial design in China. At that time, its professional name was "product design". From the early stage of its establishment, it was based on the British industrial design education mode, and gradually formed the industrial design education system. It has made a useful attempt in the practice of Industrial Design Education in China, and has accumulated rich teaching experience.

    It mainly trains professionals who can engage in industrial new product development, design, design, furniture design and exhibition design.

    The main courses are: product design, furniture design, exhibition design, computer application, design management, materials and technology, design methodology, ergonomics, graduation design and other courses.

    Garment design engineering

    It was established in 1994.

    Clothing design engineering and clothing brand

    Two specialties in planning and marketing.

    The main purpose is to develop garment design talents in fashion design, clothing marketing and brand planning.

    In view of the advantages of many women's clothing brands in Shenzhen, after years of teaching practice, fashion design department has explored and established a complete teaching system for training market and practical talents.

    Not only did the students not only attend the international and domestic costume design competitions, but also won many gold prizes. After graduation, they were recognized and praised by the company.

     

    Environmental Art Major: established in 1994.

    There are two professional directions of interior design and landscape design.

    The major is to train designers who can engage in interior design of public buildings and interior design of living space. They can also engage in professionals including landscape design, artwork display design and design management.

    Main courses: design presentation techniques, interior design principles, living space design, office space design, villa design, landscape design principles, community environment design, exhibition space design, architectural environment design, commercial space design, square landscape design, graphic creativity, font and layout design and graduation design courses.

     

    Graphic design major: established in 2002.

    It mainly trains graphic design talents who can engage in corporate image design, packaging design, advertising design, book binding design and so on.

    Main courses: logo design, illustration design, graphic design, sales design, packaging design, advertising design, CIS design, book binding design, graduation design and other courses.

     

    Digital media art (original animation): established in 2004.

    There are two training directions for digital media and animation art.

    The direction of digital media is mainly to cultivate the theoretical and practical foundation of film animation and fine arts. It can engage in professional design and production professionals in posts such as interactive media, new media, games, Internet media and film and television special effects. The direction of animation art is mainly to cultivate the theoretical and practical foundation of film animation and fine arts, and can be engaged in the design and production of professionals in animation art design, animation editing and animation production.

     

    Creative planning and Design Management: established in 2008.

    The main purpose is to train planners, marketers, brand managers and professional managers of cultural and creative industries and related industries.

    That is to train knowledge of basic theoretical quality of art and design, concurrent management, marketing, advertising, communication and other disciplines, and grasp the integrated marketing communication (IMC) practice. It can be applied in planning, management, broking, marketing, trade and communication of cultural creative industries such as design, advertising, planning, exhibition, media, including new media, entertainment, performing arts, publishing, cultural communication, cultural tourism, marketing communication, art marketing, and other government departments.

     

    In recent years, the Institute has stepped up its pace of internationalization, and has established cooperative relations with Belgium, the United Kingdom and Hongkong.

    The whole school, teachers and students, diligent and Tuo Chuang are striving to make the Institute into a modern and internationalized school with distinctive features in the same kind of universities and even in the whole country and even internationally.
