Zhangzhou's Pollutant Reduction Plan Raises High Requirements For Leather Industry
On July 8th, Zhangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau announced the total emission reduction plan for major pollutants in Zhangzhou in 2011. According to the plan, before the end of the year, the Zhangzhou municipal government will eliminate paper and leather enterprises which do not conform to the industrial policies. The sewage from all industrial parks in the city must be centralized. The livestock and poultry farms in all parts of the city should improve the way of livestock breeding, and the number of environmental protection farms should reach 30%. by the end of the year.
It is reported that in 2011, the specific task of controlling four main pollutants in Zhangzhou was that the total amount of chemical oxygen demand (COD) was reduced by 2.7% compared with that in 2010. The total amount of ammonia nitrogen (NH3N) emissions was reduced by 2.5% compared with that in 2010, and the total amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions decreased by 8.8% compared with that in 2010, and the total amount of sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions remained unchanged last year.
There are 16 enterprises that are backward in production capacity and are not in line with industrial policies, of which 5 are Leatherwear Factories are: Zhangzhou Rui Yue Leather Co., Ltd., Longhai Dehe leather products Co., Ltd., Longhai Shang Qing tannery Co., Ltd., Zhangzhou Tai Jin Leather Co., Ltd., Longhai Hongda Leather Co., Ltd. Because the production facilities of these 5 leather enterprises are very backward, they are required to be eliminated at the end of December this year.
The Zhangzhou municipal government has stipulated that a centralized sewage treatment facility or a industrial park that has been centralized in the urban sewage treatment plant before the end of 2010, should further improve the supporting pipe network and ensure that the sewage will be collected and processed before the end of December this year.
Lantian Economic Development Zone, which has not yet achieved centralized treatment of sewage, Longwen Industrial Park The Changshan Overseas Economic Development Zone, Changshan overseas Chinese industrial area, Zhaoan Industrial Park and Ping He Industrial Park, must be completed by the end of December, centralized sewage treatment facilities or access to centralized treatment of urban sewage treatment plants.
In addition, Longhai City Kam Mei Town, Nanjing County Jingcheng Town, Changtai County Yan Xi Town, Fengshan Town of Huaan county must realize the centralized sewage treatment facilities in the townships before the end of this year.
