Yes, the pigs can fly when the trend is coming, but when the wind stops, the pigs will fall down.
What we hope to release is really flying in the sky.
Opportunities can go up, but your business may be straight, and share prices will go down.

In those years, I remember that newspapers constantly advertised, made DVD and sold alcohol, and became famous for advertising.

Liu Chuanzhi: handsome guy is actually he wants to run a big company. He must be clear about that.
Moreover, this goal should be very high. It should not simply open a shop or do one thing. He must have the vision to pursue, and he can clearly and clearly arrive at several steps: where does the first step probably arrive? Then what way can he get there? How many steps do we take on this road? How do we go about every step? Do we need to start at the same time? Because there are many things in it.

Lenovo produced a number of motherboards in order to attend the exhibition in Hannover, Germany.
So we bought a very small company in Hongkong, and it was done by one person.
It was 1989. I was in Beijing, and they were in Hongkong.

Finally, it's almost time. When I checked it, the whole thing broke down.
Because all the energy of the main person is in one of them.

Liu Chuanzhi: some people become, some people can not change.
If we can't change it, we'd better tell the people early that we should weigh up what is suitable for us. We suggest that these scientists, or sell them to enterprises, or be shareholders.
Or if you want to be CTO, you have to obey CEO.
For example, some enterprises, the founder is an expert type of talent, after you voted, he said I am an expert, resolutely not CEO.
But in fact, everything must be controlled, which will cause great problems for the enterprise.
Reporter: that is to say, there are some items that look very beautiful, but they can not be completed, but also look at the implementation process of this person.
Liu Chuanzhi: there is a project that is simply amazing. It is done by a scientist. This is what our country needs now. The level is very high.
But now, there are more than 1000 people who do not have CEO.
In the company, people say he is a fascist, that's exactly what I said.
It is very difficult to understand in depth the things that scientists have to do, because it is very difficult for us to turn laboratory achievements into a large-scale industrial achievement, and others to promote sales, so that people can have shares and so on.
So I suggest that this scientist come to Lenovo to attend classes.
After reading the post doctoral student, he read the book one by one and studied it hard for many years.
But does he have a strong learning ability? That's not what I call learning ability.

Reporter: remember when Lenovo was founded in 1984, you once said to the leadership, "Lenovo wants to be a big company with an annual output value of 2 million yuan!" it seems inconceivable today. Do you think the meaning of success has changed for an entrepreneur?
Liu Chuanzhi: I didn't know what IPO was at that time, but when I came out, I mainly wanted to try my best to realize my life value and constantly improve my goals.
After a while, I felt that I could manage people and began to want to be China's own PC.
When China's own PC can achieve a certain degree, I hope to occupy a certain share in China and defeat foreign enterprises.
The target is constantly changing.
As you say, people now feel that IPO has been successful, that is the general.
The real test is what we need to do after we succeed.
Continuously improving target pursuit is one of the common criteria for a good entrepreneur to become a good entrepreneur. It can not be regarded as the only criterion. Otherwise, he will not do it to a certain extent.
I know many of these entrepreneurs, all of whom are from Zhejiang.
To a certain extent, it is normal to invite others to play basketball and do what they love to do.

But when you were in that era, most people wanted to earn the first pot of gold and try to survive.
Which is more important between the ability to get the first barrel of gold and the clear business model?
Liu Chuanzhi: This is just a feature of Internet business. Any other industry must earn money.
After the independence of the Americans, with the independent IPO, everyone began to think that there was a certain click rate or users would invest money later. After spending money, they could spend money on it and you could burn it.
And then I can do more.
Maybe later, some of them turned the scale of users into money, and some people could not change them, and they never made money.
Lenovo has invested in such enterprises with a certain click through rate and certain business mode.
As a result, the central leading comrades said that this is an undesirable way. The "3 / 15" meeting stopped the original business model of the company, and all of the previous things were completely discarded.
In my view, the ultimate goal of Internet Co is to make profits.
The high click rate, or the number of independent IP (access), is just one of the pition processes.
Taking this pition process can attract investors' money.
But in the end, if it is still not possible to make real profits to repay investors, it is simply a bubble.
Reporter: when many enterprises go overseas IPO or go to the international market, they may have various problems with international investors. What do you think of this phenomenon?
Liu Chuanzhi: don't mention specific things. In fact, they are rules. They can be international rules. You can not recognize them in advance. If he doesn't invest in you, he will have nothing at all. That's all right.
But no matter what it is, as long as the two sides really commit themselves and are within the scope of the law, everyone should follow this (commitment).
Reporter: has Lenovo ever encountered such a situation?
Liu Chuanzhi: for Lenovo, we can only specify that when signing anything, we should pay attention to the promise and make sure that we can achieve it in the future.
At that time, it was not clear that all people could think of the future very clearly, which would make it a little embarrassing for today's situation.
I have encountered this kind of thing before. If I didn't think clearly, then I would pay the price when I really did it later. Then we would also pay the price. Then we should summarize this kind of thing internally and how we should do it next time.
But I never pulled drawer or turned the cake with anyone.
Reporter: the "duplicate disk" you mentioned just now may be a unique culture of Lenovo. How do we apply the "duplicate disk" approach to a start-up company?
Liu Chuanzhi: in fact, the word "compound disk" was put forward in 2001 when the Lenovo investment was established.
It's these entrepreneurs who think about what they do every day and think more about them.
I tell you the truth, when I was general manager in 80s of last century.
In that little room, everyone came to work in the morning. One of my colleagues talked to me about everything and talked with me in a serious way. But when it was half of the time, the second men picked up the first man and began to tell me about him.
Then third people came and said.
Five people came to see me that morning, but none of them had finished speaking.
When I came home at night, I thought about it again, and finally came to two conclusions: first, no one had finished speaking, so that I didn't know what they were going to do; second, more importantly, they had nothing to do with making money.

Reporter: how will Lenovo Group go in the mobile internet field?
Liu Chuanzhi: the management of Lenovo Group wants to take the road like Samsung at the moment, that is, to make a product.
At this point, we are going to do it in this direction.
However, this matter is also uncertain. They will continue to study and gradually take this road to reality.
Because not only do you do IBM services, you can also take the Internet content.
For example, Lenovo has invested 100 companies that do content and put them in my application store.
These companies hold up the whole Association. In case the hardware part is hit, these companies can play a very important role, and it is also a way.
So they (Senior Lenovo Group) are studying the process.
Reporter: Lenovo Group and the United States and Taiwan are different from the company's tactics. They take all of them up, will Lenovo be too cautious and conservative?
Liu Chuanzhi: because I saw them all smashed up and died.

In those days, Wang An was once the second largest company in the computer, bigger than today's HP; SUN, a service station and server; they are determined not to take the Intel series now.
DEC invented a chip called "Alfa" chip. This chip has excellent performance. They thought this could drive the minicomputer to fight, and finally failed, the enterprise failed.
I would rather see the main road when the local surpass, the accumulation of strength, so that my potential energy enough enough to lead the (qualification), the super super.
For example, in China, there are tens of thousands of service providers doing tablet computers in China, which are stronger than the tablet computers, and then launch an offensive to occupy 20% of China's tablet market.

Today, Lenovo takes this road and suddenly forms several industrial areas. I believe that in the stock market, it may not sell well.

Reporter: companies like NOKIA are feeling a bit inflexible in the face of mobile Internet. Lenovo Group is also an old IT company in China. How can it adapt to such a new industry?
Liu Chuanzhi: I often say that if a company has a good team, it will formulate strategies and execute it very well, so it should be able to keep looking for new directions.
And the leader in the group almost decided (direction). He was a helmsman. The team members worked together to row.
With the right direction, enterprises will not die at least.
I think (Lenovo Group) this should be confident, not like Kodak did the film well, suddenly found a digital camera appeared, ignorant.
I do not expect such a thing to happen (in Lenovo).
But whether he chooses is really the first good road, I dare not say.
For example, many people are constantly introducing me to HUAWEI. I admit that Ren Zhengfei is amazing, but I can't learn. I don't have the guts.
He has to spend a lot of money and then push it up very bravely. As a breakthrough in technology, he is successful.
My path is really not like him. Let's stop and stop for a while. We can catch our breath and breakfast is full. Let's climb another paragraph. This is the style.
Reporter: but when you feel like Lenovo is the boss of China, the gross profit margin of the PC industry has come down.
Will tablet computers also face such a situation?
Liu Chuanzhi: it is a very important estimate how long the tablet PC will replace the commercial notebook.
I think there is still a long way to go in a few years.
Tablet PC as a consumer computer, entertainment is very good, and it is entirely commercial as it may not be.
Because competitors are having problems now, HP and Acer have problems, which give us great opportunities.
If the gross profit margin is lower and its tonnage is bigger, it will still have a great impact.
At present, the larger the quantity is, the cheaper the purchases will be. The higher the gross profit margin will be.
First, earn this money and store it for yourself. At this time, we will further study the direction, explore talents, and form a brand awareness. At the end of the year, we will be more realistic when we go out to fight.
Now that we sell abroad, we earn some money, but in foreign consumer market, Lenovo's brand is not loud.
We need to take this opportunity to build brand names and develop new product categories.
Otherwise, people will not recognize you at all.
If I really made a tablet computer in China, as well as iPad, I wouldn't sell it anywhere in the world because you didn't have a brand.
But it costs a lot of money to smash the brand. If it's not for the ready made brand Thinkpad, Lenovo's stuff is just as good as Think, but it can't sell.
We have deducted a lot from Lenovo's profit as a R & D input for brand building, and invited a very famous person to be a brand manager abroad.
Reporter: is Lenovo holding the target of learning?
Liu Chuanzhi: first of all, the holding company will not say this, because holding is in the process of exploring, it has various situations.
Lenovo Group has entered the industry which is difficult to break through the core technology. CPU is stuck with the two key parts of the operating system.
Now that the emergence of mobile Internet and tablet computers has broken the previous pattern, we have accumulated a certain amount of capital, and have certain technical strength, how to make the funds and technology power play a faster role in the new field, and can walk ahead, and also guide the market to follow us. These are the things we pursue.
Reporter: is Lenovo holding like an industrial company like the Yangtze River or Fosun?
Liu Chuanzhi: Yes, the way of holding is similar to Fosun.
But Fosun first made the industry and then made investments to get capital returns.
We first invested in the capital and then returned to the industry.
When I'm in the industry, I want to be more systematic.
The meaning of the system is not only this industry, but also the formation of a big industrial chain.
This can really play a certain role in the whole national economy, and it can also generate greater income and impact, and it will also bring great benefits to its own income.
"My main reply is, what do I want to do? By the age of 70, I'm still working, is it just for fun? Definitely not."
Reporter: from 2014 to 2016, you will bring Legend Holdings to the public market. When you are more than 70 years old, have you ever thought about when to retire?
Liu Chuanzhi: the computer that I just said is handed over to Yang Yuanqing. This is not what I want to manage.
What I am interested in is the work of Lenovo and Lenovo holdings.
Because these things are new and interesting.
For example, the formation of a new industry, the industry starts from green space, not by investment.
