Clothing Also Has "Additives".
The harm of clothing additives is not less harmful than that of food additives.
Since last year, the report on "waste oil" has been constantly seen in the Internet and newspapers. People are beginning to re-examine the essential oils of the three meals a day.
This year, the "plasticizer" storm is even more shocking. What products have added excessive additives?
The regulations of the state departments about all the food additives are not clear enough, so that people do not have the bottom of their hearts. As Dou Wentao said in "Qiang Qiang three people", "I suddenly discovered that we used to eat plastic every day."
In fact, not only food additives, we wear clothes every day, there are additives, which should cause enough attention.
Many famous clothing brands including ZARA, Marlboro, Hush Puppies and H&M have successively fallen into the "quality gate".
After testing, the safety indicators such as pH value and color fastness of some brands of these brands are not qualified, which pose a potential health threat to the wearers.
Clothing is our second layer skin and is closely related to us every day. Its safety and food are almost equally important.
However, most people only pay attention to the fabric, style and workmanship when buying clothes, but the most critical safety is often neglected.
PH value, formaldehyde content and toxic aromatic amine are the three "killer" that may be hidden in clothing.
Formaldehyde is a kind of dyeing auxiliaries which the clothing manufacturer is quite partial, because it can play the role of crease, shrink proof and flame retardance, and also can maintain the durability of printing and dyeing.
Pure cotton textiles, brightly colored, large area printed patterns and so-called "non ironing" clothes usually contain formaldehyde.
Formaldehyde will gradually release in the process of people wearing. When the amount of formaldehyde released to the skin exceeds a certain limit, it may cause respiratory and skin inflammation.
Formaldehyde is also an allergen, which can cause skin allergy, bronchitis, reduce immunity, damage liver and lung function, and even induce cancer.
Although there are relevant regulations in the country, the clothing of western style clothes and so on should be labeled with formaldehyde, but most garment manufacturers can not do so.
Clothing has the same pH value as our skin.
The pH value of human skin is between 5.5 and 7, showing a weak acidity. This acidic substance can form a natural barrier on the surface of the skin, which can inhibit the growth and reproduction of certain pathogens and protect the human body from infection.
The ideal clothing pH value should be close to the pH value of human skin. PH value is too low or too high. Long term exposure to clothing with excessive pH value will cause the skin's weak acidic environment to lose balance, breed bacteria, and even cause skin infections.
If you don't trust or buy the clothes without a tag, you'd better wash the clothes with neutral soap before wearing it for the first time, which can effectively correct the acid-base of the clothes.
Azo dye itself has no direct carcinogenic effect on human beings, but in the long term contact with skin, it will pfer from textiles to human skin, and it will undergo a reductive decomposition reaction under the action of human secretion, releasing carcinogenic aromatic amine compounds. After being absorbed by human body, the human body DNA will change and become the inducing factor of human diseases.
Aromatic amines are colorless and tasteless. Only professional technology can detect them. It is hard for ordinary consumers to find them.
In addition to trying to choose the clothing with the national textile mandatory standard GB18401-2003 on the tag, there is another trick. It is to try to choose clothes close to natural fiber color and not to buy colorful clothing, especially red and purple clothes.
Brightly colored clothes can always brighten up people's eyes. However, behind this gorgeous face may contain cancer risks.
Wearing beautiful clothes is not equivalent to being healthy and safe.
Recently, a customer called the quality inspection department to say that she still had a smell on the clothes she bought in March last year, asking whether the smell was harmful to the body, and whether it was related to banned azo dyes.
The woman said she bought a knitted garment worth 205 yuan last year at a shopping mall in Chengdu.
On the first day, the colleagues in the unit said she had a strange smell.
As soon as she came home from work, she immediately took off her clothes and washed it with the washing liquid. On the second day, she got the sun under the sun.
So she hung the dress in the wardrobe, but for more than a year, she recently pulled out this dress from the wardrobe to wear it, and it smells strong.
According to the insiders, the textile enterprises used a large number of aromatic amine dyes, in addition to the low price, but also because of this dye all kinds of color, strong coloring, durable color, high color fastness.
The decomposable aromatic amine dyes are not only insoluble but also indistinguishable from the appearance of textiles. They can only be found through technical inspection and can not be eliminated.
In fact, formaldehyde content, pH value exceeding standard and color fastness are not enough, which is a common problem in garment inspection.
Clothing containing carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes is particularly serious.
According to the relevant persons of Sichuan Quality Inspection Bureau, consumers usually pay attention to their clothing's good workmanship and exquisite, but the smell of clothes will be ignored.
Some of the clothes that emit peculiar smell contain chemicals. For example, textiles use azo dyes containing carcinogenic aromatic amines. In the long term contact with humans, dyes can be absorbed and spread by the skin, causing human diseases and inducing cancer.
The pigment printing fabric can smell residual kerosene, and the fabric processed by resin can emit fishy smell. Some coated fabrics can retain the peculiar smell of various solvents.
And formaldehyde is relatively high in clothing, formaldehyde will gradually release, it will produce strong stimulation to human respiratory tract mucosa and skin, light will cause skin allergy, appear skin redness, itching and so on, heavy will occur tracheitis and other diseases.
Some dyestuffs that are dyed with acid or alkali are also harmful to the human body.
The skin of the human body is neutral or weak acidic. If the pH value of the fabric is too high or too low, it will damage the skin's balance and resistance, and cause skin allergy or induce infection.
Because of poor color fastness, dyes on clothing can be dissolved into sweat or pferred to the skin through friction during movement.
After carcinogenic dyes are made into clothes, they are colorless and tasteless, and consumers can not identify them at all.
As for the carcinogenicity of azo dyes, the reporter has visited some clothing wholesale markets and some brand clothing stores. Not only salesmen and clothing store owners do not know the carcinogenic problems of azo dyes, but most consumers have never realized that buying clothes also depends on whether they contain toxic substances, and even do not require businessmen to provide proof of product quality inspection.
In a clothing market, a low-grade women's clothing stalls, reporters put forward azo dyes carcinogenic, can provide the relevant inspection certificate, the owner of the shop said, never customer has asked for textile safety inspection certificate, and here thousands of clothing stores can not provide customers with inspection certificate.
In some clothing brand stores, a salesperson of a clothing shop said that because these garments were provided by the company, they were only responsible for selling, but the question of what dyestuffs and related test proofs were used in dyeing were not clear.
The reporter found that in the dazzling clothes, only a few clothing labels such as Lady house were marked with clothing safety level or formaldehyde content and other data related to clothing safety.
