"Any company that needs sportswear, such as uniforms, polo shirts, pullovers and so on, is our target customers."
Reebok Bill Doyle, general manager of China, said in an interview with Shanghai Internet reporter.
In May 6th not long ago, Reebok officially entered Taobao mall and opened its first official flagship store in the world. Reebok also has plans to cooperate with other websites.
In July 20th, Yao Ming officially announced his retirement in Shanghai.
Bill Doyle has never answered the question of whether Reebok will renew the contract with Yao Ming. The company is still considering it, but this action has nothing to do with Reebok's advance and retreat in China.
China's sports marketing community believes that Reebok has failed to play the role of Yao Ming.
"We generally do not disclose the number of stores and specific financial data," Bill Doyle told reporters.
But he still disclosed that in the first half of this year, Reebok's sales had reached its target, and its profits were far beyond the target.
According to official explanation, Reebok's recent cooperation with de Bo Luke is not a discomfort with existing distributors such as Baosheng international, but a different supplement to different channels.
"China's B2B sportswear market is yet to be developed. Our goal is to prove our strength in this market through strategic cooperation with de Bo Luke."
It is reported that this strategic cooperation came into effect in June 1, 2011. Reebok authorized de Bo Luke to design, develop, manufacture, promote and sell Reebok B2B clothing and accessories for mainland Chinese business customers.
Reebok will provide manufacturing standards and marketing guidelines for these joint development products, while de Bo Luke will be responsible for product manufacturing, promotion and sales.
Founded in 1939, de Bo Luke is a leading manufacturer and distributor. Its high quality products include jackets, sweaters, sweaters, T-Shirts, headgear, bags, towels and so on. North America is the main retail market.
De Bo Luke International Trading Co., Ltd. (Nanjing) is a joint venture with Guangsheng garments.
In the United States, de Bo Luke is already the exclusive designer, manufacturer and seller of Reebok's clothing, hats, towels and luggage.
De Bo Luke will set up the Reebok office in Nanjing as part of the strategic cooperation between the two sides.
De Bo Luke, President of Larry Ramirez, said: "since 2005, we have been working with Reebok and have achieved great success in North America.
In the vibrant Chinese market, we look forward to exploring new opportunities with Reebok. "
Gao Jiali, managing director of Adidas Greater China, said: "de Bo Luke is an ideal partner of Reebok in China. This cooperation is a very good opportunity for Reebok China to prove our determination to explore all growth channels.
It is understood that Reebok's business has received orders.
Bill Doyle revealed that a large domestic IT company and a stadium in Shanghai had ordered the product.
