Germany's special chemicals group, LANXESS, invested $40 million to build its production base on 25, breaking ground in Changzhou, Jiangsu, and is expected to start production in the first half of 2013. The new plant with an annual capacity of 50 thousand tons will be among the largest leather chemicals plants in Asia.

The new factory located in Binjiang Chemical Industrial Park in Changzhou will mainly serve the Chinese market and produce a total of more than 1000 varieties.
