During the "12th Five-Year" period, the industry orientation of Dongguan's advanced manufacturing industry is to focus on the development of communication equipment manufacturing, electrical machinery manufacturing, new energy and special equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, shipbuilding and petrochemical industry.

The proportion of employees in advanced manufacturing industry accounts for 51% of all industrial workers above designated size.

Judging from the development goals of various industries, the thin-film solar cell industry will strive to break through 100 billion yuan in 2015.

The automotive industry focused on the development of special purpose vehicles, passenger cars and electric vehicles. By 2015, the total number of electric vehicles in the city was over 20000, and the number of electric vehicles exceeded 10000. It has become the main R & D and production base of electric vehicles, the gathering base of electric vehicle core components and the application service base of electric vehicles.

By 2015, the shipbuilding capacity will exceed 1 million tons, and the total output value of shipbuilding industry will reach 10 billion yuan.

The petrochemical industry has achieved an average annual growth of more than 10%. By 2015, the total output value of the petrochemical industry reached 38 billion yuan.

Linking six major development priorities of advanced manufacturing industry
