The original model was not only a "bare chest and arms", but also a sport for middle and old aged people to exercise and improve their temperament. Then the two people hit it off. In 1992, two elderly people founded the middle and old age model team in Weinan.

As captain of the model team, Li Manyun bought the tape recorder from his own pocket and came to the first "performance" with Ma Ling Ni in the shade of the central square of Weinan. The Ma Ling Ni, who had been engaged in music education, became the director of the team. According to his stage experience, he planned for the middle aged and elderly model movements and steps. From the initial embarrassment and some people's sarcastic remarks to the continuous expansion of the team, during the period, two old people went to coordinate the venues and perform costumes, and did not know how many people love words, and how many hardships they had gone through.

There were more than 300 middle-aged and old friends attending the model team, and some of them left. But the two elderly people encouraged each other: "we must stick to it."

Today, the model team has performed more than 200 games. Not only does it regularly participate in the middle and old age performance competitions in the province, but in the "China middle and old age Arts Festival" held in Shanghai last year, two old people and their model team also won the Gold Award for their excellent performance.

In order to enhance visual impact and freshness in the performance, two old people often design their own clothes to participate in the competition. In their wardrobe, nearly 30 performances, involving various dynasties, North South tone, and even evening dress.

What made Li Manyun memorable is a performance that shows the local customs of Weinan. Two old people have designed slogans such as Huashan and Heyang reed dung, and the slogan "I love Wei Nan Shan and water, please come to Weinan". The professional teacher will show the pictures and words on the costumes. In the winter snowstorm, the old man tirelessly wears dozens of clothes running east and West. Then, on the 2003 Weinan Spring Festival Gala, the elderly wore their suits on the stage.

In life, two elderly people are good sisters. They like to go shopping in the street to buy the fashionable clothes. Only they dare to "challenge". When they are in trouble, they encourage each other to comfort; the two sisters also have to quarrel for rehearsal, but "contradictions never stay overnight."

The two sisters brought a good mentality to a bit of life. "Youth reappearance" program is to show youthful vigor in middle-aged and old people. They say that models can forget their sadness and worries and go to the stage to have confidence and vitality.

For the model team, the two elderly people are always positioned to "let the old people enjoy their old age and do something old". Ma Lingni said that they plan to rehearse a cowboy and Qing style model program in the near future. "The model team is not commercial, it is for exercise, high and low weight old friends can join."

Li Manyun, 76, has deep feelings for the model team. "As long as the people approve, we are satisfied." She hopes the middle and old age model team can go on forever, and as long as the body is allowed, she will never abandon.
