Compared with other exhibitions held at the national exhibition, CHIC was only medium sized at that time, and its scale increased considerably after the national exhibition.
Speaking of the development of the garment industry, Yu Jianjun said: "at the beginning of the reform and opening up, the clothing industry basically receives orders from foreign enterprises to process materials, and then exports them." In the early 80s and early 90s, industry and commerce were not very developed. In 1992, the South inspection speech slowly developed. CHIC was born and grew up after that.
In addition to CHIC, Yu Jianjun was impressed by the textile machinery exhibition, and he believed that the exhibition played an important role in the growth of China's textile and clothing industry.
"At that time, the textile machine fair was quite popular. Most of the exhibitors are foreign businessmen. Yu Jianjun said that foreign textile machinery enterprises generally produced a new generation of products in the past four years, while the textile machinery exhibition was Biennale, and foreign businessmen were still eager to squeeze in. Each exhibition hall is full of people. If the exhibitors do not attend this session, there will be no place for the next session. It is precisely because of the extensive development of the textile machinery exhibition that the quality of Chinese textiles has been rapidly improved, thanks to the extensive introduction of a large number of advanced equipment, thus promoting the rapid development of the garment industry, and the proportion of clothing products in foreign trade has also increased rapidly.
Although the CHIC exhibition is more apparent to the site providers, Large exhibition It looks a little small and somewhat unattractive, but it still affects its garment industry in its own way and strength. On the initial CHIC, surface accessories and other products can also be seen. After a few years, it has not contained more exhibitors, and its fabrics have been separated separately, so China international textile fabrics and Accessories Expo (Intertextile) has been launched.
On the first few sessions of CHIC, people can still see on-site sales, ordering and other links, which are almost invisible now. Exhibitors increasingly regard it as an important platform for promoting brand.

CHIC, which moved to the national exhibition, is developing at a surprising speed. "Around 2000, we built two temporary libraries." Yu Jianjun said, however, the pavilion area of the national exhibition still can not meet the needs of CHIC.

How to solve the problem of insufficient exhibition area? In 2004, at the twelfth CHIC, the organizers divided CHIC into two categories, men's Wear Exhibition and women's Wear Exhibition held in stages. To a certain extent, it alleviated the plight of the venue too small.
After the ten CHIC of the national exhibition, the national exhibition can no longer afford the CHIC with the exhibition area of more than 100 thousand square meters. CHIC, which was heavily restricted by the site area, finally ventured into Shunyi in 2008, when the new national exhibition was not yet completed. After that, Jianjun never visited CHIC again.
From 1998 to 2007, Jianjun witnessed the growth of CHIC from small to large, and saw that Chinese clothing brands were growing from scratch. Yu Jianjun said he did not pay much attention to the brand during the CHIC period, because inspection of venues, supervision of security and cleanliness were the main duties of the national exhibition. However, there was still a brand that impressed him: Shun Mei, a brand that almost meets CHIC every year.
"It's done professionally every year." Yu Jianjun said that before 2005, Shun Mei received foreign orders mainly on CHIC, and began restructuring after 2005, and launched a new brand ROMA. In 2006, Yu Jianjun saw the new brand on CHIC. "The fabric is very high quality and the design is also international. I heard that it was designed and developed in Italy."
