In this regard, Yang Zhao, chairman of Hongkong sunrise group, recently accepted an exclusive interview with the China Youth Daily reporter. "JEANSWEST" belongs to the diversified multinational group with a turnover of up to about 5000000000 Hong Kong dollars this year.

"I want to ask young people a question."

China Youth Daily: one of the questions most people want to know is, why did your company choose to sponsor Tsinghua's fourth teaching building as "JEANSWEST building"?

Yang Zhao: we didn't expect such a big controversy. Many students do not understand us, think that we are advertising for ourselves, for business interests, "your boss is to buy the highest school with money". And I want to say that we should not only think about our own mindset, but also learn to think about it.

I would like to ask young people a question: if it is you, if you have assets of 100 million yuan, 1 billion or even 10 billion, how will you use it? If you want to spend money Tour around What about the world after that? If you want to buy a car and buy a house, what will you do when the garage is available? Is it finally a couple of second wives?

In fact, the only way to achieve sustainability is to benefit others and to repay society. I know that many students, even our friends and customers do not understand. China Youth Daily: in fact, donations to universities are very common, but many people are disgusted with the fact that the commercial atmosphere of JEANSWEST building is too heavy. Why do we have to be named?

Yang Zhao: about why I want to be named, I use Confucius's story to explain. Now college students should have heard that Confucius's disciple Zigong traveled abroad and saw a slave of Lu nationality. He paid his money back and refused to accept the reward from the government. Another disciple Zi Lu rescued a drowning man. The man thanked him for giving him an ox, and Zi Lu took it.

As usual, we will all pay tribute to Yangzi, but Confucius criticized Zi Gong and praised Zi Lu. The reason is that Confucius thinks that not everyone in the world is as noble as Zigong. If we do good deeds, we can see them. reward Praise will encourage more people to do good deeds, and the people of Lu will like to save lives in danger. Now this society still needs to encourage charities and donations, so now I feel that if we only do good deeds without knowing it, it will become a tribute to Confucius, so that the progress of society and philanthropy will be slow.

We have been helping the poor college students and other public welfare activities very early. We have donated more than 10 billion dollars without name. How many people know? The money donated by an enterprise is not earned by myself. If I am named an individual, then I am the only one who is happy. Since wealth is earned by employees, it is still hoped that everyone will share the title.

Young people should have "willing to shoulder the burden".

China Youth Daily: why should your company engage in public welfare undertakings? Is it also as if someone has questioned the image promotion of enterprises?

Yang Zhao: people need two kinds of wealth: one is material wealth, such as fame and wealth, social status. The other is spiritual wealth, which is not just hard work. I think it is the 4 "heart": love, compassion, giving heart and happy heart. "Happy heart" means that many people will be jealous and criticize when others do well, but we should think about it in good ways. encourage 。 As long as you have material and spiritual wealth, your life is very happy. This is the meaning and value of life.

We subsidized the poor students of 24 universities. From 2005 to now, the total number is 8000. What are our interests? Given so much money in a year, my heart does not hurt? A successful entrepreneur is to learn from the "private" mentality into "public" mentality, from heartache to heartache, and never heartache to take the initiative, willingly, personally do this business.

China Youth Daily: will someone think you are rich, and stand up and talk?

Yang Zhao: I have worked hard from an ordinary person to say so. It is not "rich two generation" or "official two generation". When I was 20 years old from the mainland to Hongkong, I only read two grade in high school. I had no knowledge, no family background, no university, let alone the glory of a prestigious university. I only have the strength, so I only have to work hard and work hard, from the workers to the foreman, and from the foreman to the director.

In 1974, I wanted to run a factory and make 100 thousand yuan to make the capital. I only dare to borrow twenty thousand yuan from my friend, and the friend asked me, "is it enough?" When I asked for 50 thousand yuan, my friend did not hesitate to lend me. I still owe him this. And my father. I have achieved some success now because of their credit, but they do not want me to repay it. Therefore, I return this to society, especially to young people who need help.

China Youth Daily: what do you think your experience will share with the young people who are going to the society now?

Yang Zhao: I think the most important thing for young people to walk into society is to have "commitment" and to be willing to shoulder the burden. It is necessary to pick up family responsibilities bravely, at least to solve the problem of food and clothing for themselves and families. target It is well-off. I want to say to young people, if everything is done like this, three years as a day, you will be able to unite a group of people who work hard together. Don't look too much outside, don't compare with others.

China Youth Daily: so after experiencing this "JEANSWEST building" storm, do you think there is something worth reflecting on?

Yang Zhao: I think this is not enough to understand the students and the society. If we have nothing to do with the vast majority of students, we will have conflicting opinions. Next time, if we contribute to other prestigious schools, we will consider consulting the students first, and respecting the voices of our classmates. We really will do so.

At the same time, I also have a doubt that sunrise Group donated and named the teaching buildings of many universities in East China and Guizhou. There is no question about why Tsinghua University has problems. Is there discrimination against JEANSWEST? If so, I don't think it's fair.

I think people must have kindness to repay. For example, my parents are too old to get much benefit from me, so why bother to cultivate me? Why did Tsinghua teachers seriously and professionalism teach their classmates? They are not afraid of losing their jobs. Young people want to learn such people. There are such people in the world. Nowadays, college students are full of poetry books, including Tsinghua students, but the environment is relatively simple.
