It is reported that during the "11th Five-Year" period, Liuzhou put into operation 447 thousand and 600 mu of mulberry field, 37 thousand and 400 tons of cocoon, and 1 billion 180 million yuan of farmers selling cocoons, which increased by 130%, 115%, 239%, respectively, and the growth rate of three main indicators ranked first in the region.

There are 17 Reeling Enterprises in the city. There are 147 automatic silk reeling production lines. The output of raw silk is 4263 tons, the output value is 1 billion 468 million yuan, and the silk reeling capacity and technology level are in the leading position in the area.

At the same time, a National Cocoon and silk product quality supervision and inspection center has been built. Luzhai cocoon and silk processing industrial park has been included in one of the five major silk parks in the region.

Liuzhou is awarded the title of "China Cocoon silk production base" by the China Silk Association. It is the only city in Guangxi that has won the honorary title of second.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, Liuzhou will promote the upgrading operation of "excellent cocoon plus silk project".

To this end, the agricultural production link will support the construction of high-quality raw materials silkworm cocoon base through technical funds and so on, and 100 thousand mu of high-quality raw material silkworm cocoon base will be set up in the city.

We should build up a 10000 ton quality silkworm cocoon production base in Luzhai County, Liucheng county and the Liujiang River county. We will build thousands of tons of high-quality cocoon bases in 10 towns, Luzhai County, Huang Mian Township, zaasha Town, the Liujiang River County town of Li Gao, Liu Shan town, Liucheng County Fengshan Town, Zhai Long Town, Chong Mai Town, Rong an County, pumice Town, and Rong Shui Miao Autonomous County, and build 20 professional villages with annual output of more than 100 tons of silkworm cocoons.

At the same time, we should cultivate and support the leading enterprises in the cocoon and silk industry to make the silkworm processing develop further.

In the "12th Five-Year" period, we need to build 5 cocoon silk enterprise groups with an annual output value of more than 300 million yuan, with independent brands and self export capabilities, and create large silk processing enterprises with 2~3 furniture and their own brands.

Luzhai Guangxi silk industrial park will introduce and cultivate a number of leading enterprises that integrate cocoon production, drying, reeling, and post processing to promote the integration of upstream and downstream enterprises of silkworm industry.

We will steadily develop NMET, weaving and weaving, and gradually promote advanced processing and advanced home textile products such as printing, dyeing, weaving, silk spinning, clothing and so on, and strive to improve the overall level of cocoon silk.

In addition, we should further tap the comprehensive utilization of silkworm resources and enhance the ability to resist market risks.

To this end, Liuzhou will make great efforts to play the role of the National Cocoon and silk products quality supervision and inspection center, build an information technology platform for trade, and build a cocoon silk logistics and storage system suitable for the cocoon and silk industry with modern electronic information technology, so as to enhance the level of cocoon silk logistics distribution in Liuzhou and even in the south.

At the same time, we plan to build Liuzhou into a Southern China silk and silk trading center, and strive to distribute and trade cocoon and silk in Southern China and southwest China in order to provide raw materials for the development of silk industry and garment industry.
