By the end of this year, the total capacity of China's main synthetic rubber plant is expected to reach 3 million 330 thousand tons, of which 520 thousand tons will be added this year, an increase of 18.5% over 2010.

According to the current development trend, the association predicts that by the end of 12th Five-Year, the annual production capacity of the national synthetic rubber plant will be directly to 6 million tons.
Assuming that the import volume remains unchanged, the overall utilization rate of the device will be only 63%. Assuming that 50% of the import volume is replaced by domestic products, the overall utilization rate of the device will be only 74%.
Qi Runtong, Secretary General of the synthetic rubber Association, pointed out that in the future, the synthetic rubber enterprises are facing fierce competition in the market, and there will be a big gap in the supply of raw materials for the production of synthetic rubber.
Therefore, Qi Runtong said that suppressing overcapacity is the primary task to be solved in the synthetic rubber industry.
