Chengdu Footwear Industry Forms Industrial Cluster Development Mode

A few days ago, at the seminar on the development of industrial clusters in Sichuan, many experts from the Market Research Institute of the State Council Development Research Center and the China project development center of the world bank group international finance company highly praised Chengdu's shoemaking industry.

In the Sichuan Industrial Development Research Report, the shoemaking industry is recommended as a classic safety.

It is understood that after more than 20 years of development, the footwear industry in Chengdu has initially formed a large footwear industry cluster dominated by women's shoes.

Among them, women's shoes in Wuhou District account for more than 30% of the total output of women's shoes in the whole country. In December 2005, Chengdu was awarded the honorary title of "Chinese women's shoes city" by China Light Industry Federation and China Leather Association.

Rough statistics, by the end of 2005, more than 1500 shoemaking enterprises in the city, including more than 3000 supporting enterprises, including leather making, employing 100 thousand people, with an annual output value of more than 6 billion 600 million yuan, and fourth of the production scale.

Chengdu shoe industry has formed the regional brand of industrial cluster development.

At present, there are nearly 400 registered trademarks in Chengdu's shoemaking enterprises, and several brands have been awarded the Sichuan brand and Sichuan famous trademark.

Previously, it was mainly oriented to low and medium market in domestic and neighboring countries, but now it has been pformed into some leading enterprises and has begun to accept international orders, and the benefits of industrial clusters are gradually being enlarged.

Footwear industry is only part of the ten major industrial clusters that Chengdu accelerates industrial development.

According to the future development plan of Chengdu's key industries, Chengdu will also accelerate the development of six leading industries, such as electronic information, machinery (including automobiles), medicine, food (including tobacco), metallurgical building materials and petrochemical industry, and strive to achieve more than 85% of the six leading industries in the city in 2010.

By 2010, Chengdu will cultivate 6 industrial clusters with a sales income of more than 50 billion yuan.

At the same time, in accordance with the requirements of the "four batch", we should do a good job of major industrialization projects and complete 150 industrial projects by 2010, with a total investment of more than 150 billion yuan.
