    High End Automotive Textile Material Gap

    In the United States, Germany, Japan and other auto industry and high-speed train developed countries, the research of automotive interior textiles has reached a very deep level, and the industrialized production technology is also very advanced.

    China's R & D and production of textile interior decoration materials for motor vehicles and high-speed trains started late and is still in its initial stage. Currently, domestic cars and motor vehicle textiles can not meet the rapid development needs of the automotive industry and high-speed trains, especially in the market.

    Flame retardant

    The nonwovens interior materials for motor vehicles and motor vehicles, which are special properties such as heat insulation, water repellent, antifouling, sound absorption, moisture absorption and antistatic, need to be imported from abroad.

    China imports $4 billion of motor vehicle textiles every year, and imports of high speed train interior textiles are even larger.


    Selection and application of functional fibers


    It can meet the performance requirements of high end automotive nonwovens interior materials.

    There are mainly new high-performance fibers, such as polyester fiber, preoxidized yarn and aramid fiber.

    We look at the characteristics one by one:


    Polyester fiber (polyester): because of poor moisture absorption properties of polyester fibers, 0.4%~0.5% is generally regurgaged under atmospheric conditions, so its dry and wet fiber properties change little.

    Polyester fiber has high strength and good elasticity recovery.

    When the elongation is 3%, the elastic recovery rate is 90%~95%.

    Polyester fiber has high modulus and rigidity, and its wear-resisting property is good.

    The properties of polyester fiber can meet the performance requirements of high resilience and wear resistance of non-woven interior materials for high-speed train seat. Polyester hollow fiber can also help improve the thermal insulation performance of products. To meet the requirements of safety performance, fire retardant treatment of materials must be carried out.


    Polyacrylonitrile pre oxidized fiber (preoxygenated yarn): the fiber is a kind of intermediate product for making carbon fiber. It is a new type of high temperature resistant organic fiber developed with the rise of carbon fiber. Its biggest characteristics are: high flame retardance, high temperature resistance, high temperature resistance, high temperature, stable fiber performance, 900 minutes under fire, resistance for more than 3 minutes, limiting oxygen index greater than 50%, and non combustible shrinkage in combustion fibers, no droplets (not scalding the body), etc. it belongs to quasi noncombustible products. Two is heat insulation effect; three is acid and alkali resistant, chemical resistant, radiation resistant, and has good processability at the same time.

    Aromatic polyamide fiber (Fang Guan): Aramid 1313 is a new type of high temperature resistant fiber with corrosion resistance, chemical resistance and fire resistance.

    Aramid 1414 is a new type of high strength fiber with a strength of 193.6cN/tex and a elongation at break of 4%.

    The initial modulus is much higher than that of other fibers, which is 11 times of polyamide fiber and 6 times of polyester. The fiber also has good heat resistance and chemical resistance.

    It can meet the mechanical and safety requirements of high speed train seat nonwovens.


    Other high performance fibers: high performance fibers are high quality engineering materials with high mechanical properties, high strength and high modulus of elasticity. High performance fibers can withstand high temperatures, high dimensional stability and low heat shrinkage; high performance fiber density is low, which is conducive to lightweight products.

    Organic and inorganic high-performance fibers are resistant to corrosion.


    Standardization construction and improvement of leading team


    In the face of the current situation, China's nonwovens enterprises should aim at the market demand of automotive nonwovens interior materials, strengthen product R & D capability, intensify technological development, create the independent brand of China's automotive interior textiles, and step out of a road of introduction, digestion and self development.

    In 2009, the national development and Reform Commission issued the "textile industry technological progress and technological pformation investment direction", and put forward the implementation requirements of "processing technology and industrial application of lightweight cover and interior materials for vehicles", which means accelerating the development and industrialization of domestic high-end automotive interior textile materials has become an important development direction of the industry textile industry.


    High end automotive interior materials have high resilience, sun resistance, heat resistance color fastness, high wear resistance and sound insulation, vibration absorption and breathability.

    At present, the national standards for the related products of interior materials are not perfect, such as the national standard GB8410-2006 of automotive interior materials, while the relevant standards of high-speed trains are almost not. The domestic product applications generally refer to international standards such as TL1010, ISO 3795, GM6090M, DIN 7520, DIN 54837/DIN 5510-2, SAEJ369, NFP9-503, GM9070P, FMVSS302 and so on.

    For example, the smoke toxicity F1 (NF F16-101) and flame retardant grade M1 (NF P92-503) of domestic seat materials for motor car seats.

    In May 2011, in order to ensure the safety of vehicles in Europe, the directive 95/28/EC automotive interior material combustion test standard was FMVSS 302.


    It is necessary to truly implement the localization of high-end automotive flame retardant nonwoven interior materials and conform to international standards. The standard setting of related products is imminent, including enterprise standards, industry standards and national standards.


    In the national industrial textiles

    At the time of the formulation of the "12th Five-Year plan", we should seize the good opportunity of the rapid development of China's high-speed trains and the implementation of the vehicle revitalization plan, and focus on building a leading team to achieve scale development.

    As a main position, nonwoven enterprises should further strengthen cooperation in production, teaching and research, improve product R & D and design capabilities, upgrade technology and industry, build up their own brand while adapting to the characteristics of terminal products, and continuously increase the added value of products.

    While realizing the autonomy of basic raw materials, we should further improve the level of product manufacturing equipment, strengthen production management, improve product quality, increase production efficiency, reduce production costs, maintain competitive advantage in price performance, and replace imported products.

    At present, nonwovens are mainly used for flexible products such as seat lining, canopy, carpet and other flexible products. Through deep processing, high end vehicle fiber functional rigid composite materials can be made. In addition, this kind of material can be further applied to the fields of aviation, ships and so on. The market scale is great.
