GUCCI Donated Millions Of Dollars To Support African Studies

December 19, 2011 - nearly every day, Gucci is pleased to announce its continued commitment to UNICEF.

    Children's wear

In the name of the series, they donated $1 million 150 thousand to UNICEF's African aid program.

The United Nations Children's Fund's African aid program was created jointly by the Nelson Mandela foundation and the Peter Kramer Stiftung foundation in 2004 to provide more for millions of children in Africa.

The basic education focuses on children in the most disadvantaged environment: girls, orphans, children in extreme poverty areas and others.

    Weakness

    Children.

At the time when the cooperation with the United Nations Children's fund has entered seventh years, Gucci will continue to support the African student aid program, because we firmly believe that education is a life-long gift.

With the commitment to the world's children and the company's "Forever Now" concept, Gucci has donated more than 10 million US dollars to UNICEF, and has become one of the largest corporate donors in Africa's student aid program.

In 2010, in order to celebrate the first release of children's wear series, Gucci donated $1 million to UNICEF.

Through these continuous contributions, Gucci has helped more than 5 million 500 thousand of children in sub Saharan Africa get qualified education.

"Since we first started working with UNICEF in 2005, we have continuously promoted cooperation to ensure long-term development," said Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.

Now, we are very pleased that Gucci can strengthen its commitment to UNICEF and contribute another $1 million 150 thousand to help more children.

During the Malawi field trip in November 2009, I found that 1/3 of children in sub Saharan Africa did not have the opportunity to go to school.

I saw the United Nations Children's Fund's African aid program, which successfully helped more children get a qualified education and start a new life for them, which is just a natural life for us.

Through the commitment of Gucci, we hope to really help these children and give them the chance to go to school.

To date, Gucci has organized various activities to enhance the awareness of cooperation with UNICEF and to raise donations for its public welfare projects.

Since the beginning of cooperation, Giannini has designed a number of exclusive products and used part of its sales to support UNICEF.

In 2011, Giannini designed the latest "Gucci for UNICEF" Sukey handbag. As always, 25% of the proceeds from each commodity will contribute to the United Nations Children's Fund's African aid program; in 2010, the total sales of Sukey handbags generated a donation of US $1 million 450 thousand; earlier this year, the Special Edition U-Play watch launched by Gucci also contributed $70 thousand to the project.

In addition, in support of the African student aid program, Gucci donated $250 thousand to UNICEF in the name of the Gucci: The Making Of, which was released this year.

This "Gucci: The Making Of" published by Rizzoli is a tribute to the classic inheritance and influence of the representative and multi faceted Italy fashion house of Gucci. In the past 90 years, it has become the pronoun of Italy's luxury handcraft and fashion authority in the world.

This year's mother's day, Gucci first launched a limited edition mother handbag.

Every 25% of the retail price of a handbag is used to support UNICEF's AIDS assistance program.

GUCCI also ensures that at least $70 thousand is donated for the purchase of HIV testing equipment for the diagnosis of more than 60 thousand expectant mothers. This is part of the UNICEF comprehensive project aimed at eliminating mother to child pmission of HIV.

In addition, at the UNICEF's most loving women's awards luncheon in 2011, the UNICEF fund of the United States awarded Giannini and Carrie Auer, the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in Malawi, to commend their contributions to the United Nations Children's Fund in saving and caring for the world's children.

The UNICEF's most loving women's award luncheon was held in Losangeles in February this year, and donated all the proceeds collected to the UNICEF American Fund.

Leila Pakkala, director of private fundraising and cooperation at UNICEF, said: "Gucci's donation will bring real changes to children.

Good education is very important for future success and success. Investment in education will not only improve children's lives, but also affect their children's future generations.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Gucci for his generous donation and their long-term support for the cause of children.
