Asia'S Largest Toy Show Hongkong Unveiled &Nbsp; Environmental Products Become Force
The thirty-eighth largest Hongkong toy exhibition in Asia, the second largest in the world, was unveiled at Wanchai Convention and Exhibition Centre in January 9th. Made of bamboo environmental protection Toys, smart phones, remote control aircraft or car models and other hot exhibitors, some manufacturers expressed confidence that the market prospects of these products better. Held in the same arena Hong Kong The international licensing exhibition is for buyers seeking brand effect and high value-added routes. Business opportunity 。
Environmental protection is becoming the trend.
This year, about 1900 exhibitors in 43 countries and regions have gathered at the Hongkong Toy Fair. The Hongkong Trade Development Council, the organizer, has organized 92 global buyers to Hong Kong. One of the highlights of this session is that the "brand Gallery" attracted 80 exhibitors, the largest in scale and 30% higher than last year.
Liu Xing, a buyer of toy dealers in Guangzhou, told reporters that before the Chinese parents bought toys, they first looked at the price, and now the design and quality were the most important. As far as the exhibition is concerned, many manufacturers have produced the banner of natural and recycled materials, and the company has demonstrated the use of generators, solar energy or wind power generation toys, with high safety standards and educational significance.
"Rather than our development of environmentally friendly products, it's rather consumer demand and willingness to pay more." Daniel Ravi, the marketing manager of the Ningbo Yi Ren toys market, pointed out that the cost of bamboo as toy material is at least 50% higher than that of ordinary wood products. Although this year's main export market economy in Europe and America is uncertain, it is believed that its impact on high-end environmental products is limited.
Higher cost and higher export stability
The toy fair is the first large-scale international trade exhibition in Hongkong in the new year. It is also a barometer of the industry's annual performance. Hongkong is the world's second largest toy exporter next to the mainland of China. It is reported that in the first 11 months of last year, the total value of toy exports in Hongkong reached HK $74 billion 100 million, less than the level before the 2008 financial tsunami.
Exhibitors generally cautiously optimistic about the market situation this year. Mr. Xu, marketing manager of Amazing Toys, a factory operator in Dongguan, said that the price of products increased by 5% this year due to the increase in labor and raw material costs. Monica, a Italy Geoworld market and product manager who mainly produces dinosaur models, does not shy away from worries about the European and American markets. But it is not easy to develop emerging markets such as India and Russia because it is difficult to open up distribution channels.
Authorized cooperation to add value to products
In addition to the toy fair, the Hongkong international licensing exhibition and baby products exhibition were held at the same venue. This year, the 10th anniversary authorized exhibition attracted 16 international and regional exhibitors to participate in more than 500 authorized projects, a record high, including the popular authorized brand "Angry Birds", the mainland China cartoon character "Bobcats" and so on.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Su Jinliang, director general of the Hongkong business and Economic Development Bureau, said that toys and baby products are closely related to the licensing industry. Authorized products can help develop new markets and attract new customers.
"Authorized cooperation is a win-win situation." CEO Chen Huajun, Hongkong's Shing Cheng group, the exclusive authorized agent of mainland China and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, told reporters that authorized products had high bargaining power and easy access to the market. The company hopes to create indigenized products for angry birds, such as mid autumn mooncakes catering to Chinese festivals, and plans to set up angry birds shops in the mainland in the first half of this year.
