How can leather enterprises completely decouple from pollution?

In the beginning of 2007, with the implementation plan of "Jinjiang's industrial pollution enterprises in coastal waters", the 10 leather enterprises in Jinjiang city were included in the first batch of remediation areas of Jinjiang's "retreat from the second to the third". 1 of the enterprises were ordered to close down, and 9 Enterprises had to move to the centralized control zone in the Anton industrial park before June 30, 2007, and 9 enterprises had to be closed down in Jinjiang.

There are many well-known enterprises in the 9 enterprises that are required to move, such as source Thai, Cathay Pacific and other industries.

After the first batch of remediation is completed, the second batch of rectification work will also be carried out, and leather will remain the focus of regulation.

In August, there were 63 tannery enterprises in the Jinjiang Kemu tgai control area and the Quangang sewage treatment plant in the Pu an tannery centralized control area (part of the Jinjiang leather enterprises in Yutai and some other factories). They were included in the 2007 Quanzhou municipal environmental protection special action to supervise the environmental protection units. The two tanneries must be completed before September 20th of that year.

However, the leather enterprises that are facing the "yellow card" of environmental protection in Jinjiang can not be so lucky.

In the Kemu control area, most of them are small and medium-sized enterprises. It is obviously unrealistic to spend tens of millions of dollars on pollution control at once.

According to the relevant personnel of Quanzhou Leather Industry Association, there are dozens of small leather home workshops that fail to meet the requirements of environmental protection within and outside the centralized control area this year.

In 2007, a lot of outstanding "environmental protection" problems are bound to wait until 2008. "Centralized control" has always been a long way to go for the leather industry in Jinjiang.

In February of this year, the practice of "centralized heating in the district" in Jinjiang's TMC centralized control area for 5 years will finally be realized.

All along, the tannery enterprises in the centralized control area have their own heating, and 63 enterprises have fifty or sixty boilers. The management is very inconvenient, chaotic and has great safety risks. Most enterprises do not set up dust removal devices, which seriously pollutes the centralized control area.

In September 2006, the centralized control area unified fundraising to buy 4 20 ton large boilers in the neighboring villages, three for one preparation, and uniformly installed dust removal and desulphurization equipment. Fifty or sixty small boilers were demolished one by one, and began commissioning.

Now, the commissioning work has entered the final stage, and in a month or so, the central control area will achieve central heating.

Centralized heating in centralized control area is only a "prototype".

In fact, "centralized heating and centralized pollution control" is also the ultimate outlet and ideal state for the sustainable development of leather industry in Jinjiang.

Chen Ronghui, President of Quanzhou Leather Industry Association, once said that environmental protection issues can not be solved by only a few enterprises.

"The best way is to concentrate all leather enterprises in a centralized control area, and invest in the construction of pollution control equipment by several large enterprises. Other enterprises with limited strength can only pay part of the royalty."

Chen Ronghui thinks.

"This centralized control zone built in Anton Industrial Park is a good opportunity to realize the unified pollution control of leather enterprises."

Wu Huachun, chairman of Xingye leather Polytron Technologies Inc, said.

On the basis of achieving unified pollution control, Wu Huachun has also given the deeper meaning of "environmental protection": the leather industry should effectively control pollution, in addition to improving its own production technology, more efforts should be made in the source and post product evaluation audit, which requires cooperation with upstream suppliers and downstream distributors of the leather industry, and the whole industrial chain can do environmental protection together.

In 2007, the two enterprises of leather industry were trapped in 2007. For the 63 leather enterprises in the TMC control area, it is not too bad to describe them with "gloomy fog".

In addition to the issue of "environmental protection", the "two layers of leather's sharp reduction" is making them miserable.

The two tier leather market is becoming more and more depressed. Meanwhile, the market with high technology is becoming more and more popular.

In the centralized control area, many enterprises are trying to pform the production of the first layer of leather, but they have successively failed.

"The first layer of leather production, tens of millions of dollars, even if it is small-scale production, also has 5 million ~700 yuan, centralized control area is mostly small and medium-sized enterprises, such a large amount of production capital is very difficult to bear."
