In 2011, Japan implemented the industry self-discipline standard of textiles without the use of azo dyes, and carried out specific azo dyes detection for China's textile products. In order to avoid increasing the export cost of products for batch inspection, the China Textile Industry Association and the Japanese Fiber Industry Federation have reached a consensus on the implementation of Japanese industry self-discipline standards after nearly two years of consultations, namely, jointly establishing a "white list management system" and implementing the "white list qualification" certification for the Japanese market.

Last year, the "white list registration system", jointly established by the China Textile Industry Association and the Japanese Fiber Industry Federation, was developed and on-line trial run.

Since then, Shishi dyeing and finishing industry association has actively led member enterprises to establish white list qualification certification, so as to enhance the international competitiveness of Shishi casual fabrics and related products.

It is reported that when Japanese merchants visited Shishi printing and dyeing enterprises, they asked the enterprises to provide testing certificates for textiles without banned aromatic amine substances.

According to statistics and calculations, the cost of testing a batch may be as high as tens of thousands or even tens of thousands of yuan. Once the textile and garment enterprises are not well prepared for this, it is bound to bring higher export costs to enterprises.

Shishi printing and dyeing enterprises have passed the white list qualification certification, and can be admitted by the Japanese importers who enter the system. When their products are exported to Japan, they do not need to detect specific azo dyes, which not only reduces the export cost of Shishi printing and dyeing enterprises, but also enables Shishi printing and dyeing enterprises to gain more business opportunities.
