In January and 2007, the situation of import and export trade of consumer goods in China in 1-11 months: in 2007, China's total foreign trade imports and exports totaled 21738 billion US dollars, an increase of 23.5% over the same period last year, with exports of 12180 billion US dollars, an increase of 25.7% over the same period last year, and imports of US $955 billion 800 million, up 20.8% over the same period last year.
Total imports and exports of consumer goods for 1-11 months amounted to US $344 billion 331 million, accounting for 17.49% of the total imports and exports of the country, up 20.69% from the same period last year, of which 271 billion 687 million US dollars were exported, accounting for 24.62% of the total exports of the country, up 21.63% over the same period last year.
Main export markets: the 1-11 top five major export countries and regions in the month of 2007 were: the United States ($7 million 466 thousand and 500), Hongkong (3 million 203 thousand and 600 US dollars), Japan (1 million 989 thousand and 800 US dollars), the United Kingdom (1 million 98 thousand and 700 US dollars) and Germany (1 million 55 thousand and 800 US dollars).
Main export provinces and cities: in the 1-11 months of 2007, the top five main export provinces and cities in China were: Guangdong (10 million 507 thousand and 800 US dollars), Zhejiang (3 million 768 thousand US dollars), Jiangsu (3 million 98 thousand and 700 US dollars), Shanghai (2 million 490 thousand and 600 US dollars) and Shandong (1 million 957 thousand and 400 US dollars).
Trade mode: in the 1-11 month of 2007, the main trade mode of China's consumer goods exports remained general trade, accounting for 50.57% of total exports, up 30.94% over the same period last year, followed by processing trade (processing trade and import processing trade), accounting for 43.81% of the total, up 10.78% over the same period last year.
The nature of export enterprises: in the 1-11 month of 2007, there were 116687 domestic consumer goods export enterprises, of which 52.02% were private enterprises with the right to import and export business, 39.2% were foreign-funded enterprises, and 4.96% were state-owned enterprises.
Import and export continued to grow steadily: in 2007, 1-11 of the total consumption of consumer goods in the country accounted for 24.62% of the total export volume, an increase of 21.63% over the same period last year.
Looking at the 11 months of export growth, except for the relatively rapid growth in February, overall growth is relatively stable.
In 2007 1-11, imports of consumer goods accounted for 8.4% of the total imports of the country, an increase of 17.28% over the same period last year, an increase of 4.58 percentage points over the same period in 2006.
